Tom Hodges is a proud husband and father of two, a small business owner, and dedicated volunteer in our community. He is ready to put his Master’s in Public Administration, decades of legal experience, and strong passion for our community to work.
Protecting our parks, responsible development, and supporting our public schools. Our parks are a key reason folks move to Anderson, and as trustee, I would not develop our parkland into commercial property. Regarding development, we don’t need more smoke shops on Beechmont, Anderson needs businesses that attract families to the community. Our public schools are the backbone of our community, and as trustee I will support our students, teachers, admin, and support staff.

Political Philosophy
I believe effective leadership comes from listening, learning, and bringing diverse viewpoints and experiences to the table to achieve better outcomes. Constructive dialogue—even when we disagree—is essential to finding practical solutions that serve the whole community. My professional experience has taught me the value of collaboration, thoughtful analysis, and putting service above self.
I am a US Army veteran, retired business executive, and nonprofit leader with proven skills in strategy, consumer and market insights, budget management, and problem-solving. I will bring results-focused, data-driven leadership to Anderson Township.
My top 3 priorities are (1) preserving our parks for public recreation, not private development; (2) promoting better development that revitalizes our business districts, improves walkability, and enhances our quality of life; and (3) protecting taxpayers by ensuring transparency, fighting wasteful spending, and making responsible financial decisions that reflect Anderson’s values and priorities.
