Qualifications in Brief Lifelong Lyman resident and Town Council member. Graduate of the Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government, with experience in management and community development. Committed to smart growth, a strong downtown, and transparent leadership.
As a lifelong Lyman resident and current Town Council member, I understand our town’s strengths and challenges firsthand. I’m a graduate of the Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government through the Municipal Association of South Carolina and bring both formal training in municipal leadership and practical experience as a small-business owner, consultant, and former textile executive. I’m committed to transparent, responsible leadership that keeps Lyman growing in the right direction.
1. Smart Growth: Plan for responsible development that balances progress with preservation of Lyman’s small-town character. 2. Strong Downtown: Revitalize our town center to attract small businesses, create community spaces, and strengthen local pride. 3. Straightforward Leadership: Maintain open communication, clear budgeting, and transparency in every decision so residents know how and why choices are made.
Lyman would benefit from clearer communication between the mayor’s office, council, and residents. I believe in proactive engagement—regular updates, open forums, and online transparency tools—to keep citizens informed and involved. Strengthening collaboration between departments and community partners will help the town operate more efficiently and deliver better results for everyone.
