I have been attending the Board meetings for 2 years. There needs to be more visibility to the public before the decisions are made. My 40 years of Chemical and Textile manufacturing leadership, including managing plants and multiple sites gives me a different perspective than the current board and can be more customer focused.

I have 4 students in D7 schools, I have been a member of PTSO as well as the Spartanburg High School SIC (School Improvement Committee.)

My work experience includes managing $100+ Million budgets, so I will be able to review and hold accountable the appropriate people for District 7's approximately $105 Million budget.
I will bring a new perspective to the board that is not possible from someone that has been in the role for 32 years.

I will have a strong focus on serving the people of my district by improving the visibility of what the board is doing, and making certain that their ideas are heard.

Proper accountability for the D7 budget.

I am proud to bring many years of experience as a school board member. during which I have gained a deep understanding of both the responsibilities and opportunity that comes with serving our community. My knowledge of South Carolina‘s educational policies allow me to make informed decisions that align with state standards while still addressing the unique needs of Spartanburg 7. I have built strong, respectful relationships with teachers and staff across the district, which helps foster collaboration and trust. Additionally, my educational background has equipped me with the insight needed to advocate effectively for both students and educators. My long standing with the district is rooted in a genuine desire to see every student succeed.
1. Increasing Academic Achievement.: I am committed to ensuring that all students reach their full potential. This includes focusing on strategies that raise academic performance and overall school ratings across Spartanburg County and the State.

2. Improve School Ratings: I will continue to work with the District 7 leadership to implement date driven solutions and targeted support so that every school in our district can meet and exceed state benchmarks.

3. Enhancing School Safety: Ensure that our schools are safe, secure and supportive environments for all students and staff. I will continue to advocate for safety measures and mental health resources.
I believe the most impactful change would be fostering stronger collaboration and unity among all board members. When we come together with a shared purpose—putting students first—we can make more effective, timely decisions that reflect the values and needs of our community. A cooperative board creates a stable, supportive, foundation for the entire board. Additionally, I believe we must place a stronger focus on addressing the social and emotional well- being of our students. It’s not enough to support them academically – we must recognize and respond to the mental health challenges many students face, often stemming from issues at home or the communities. By working closely with counselors, educators, and families, the board can help cre
