The economic growth has identified the need for a new comprehensive plan and further upgrades to the township's zoning opportunities. We are attempting to maintain the rural atmosphere while encouraging residential growth and business opportunities.
Planning and organizational skills. Financial skills, budgeting and sound fiscal management. Owned my own retail business. Managed a 5 million dollar retail business for 13 years. Hired, evaluated, trained and managed up to 50 people at one time.
We provide current meeting minutes and post on our website on a regular basis. We have a digital message board that is updated many times weekly. We have solicited community involvement via focus groups, surveys, etc. Daily personal contact and interaction, etc.
Agriculture and a rural atmosphere are far and away the number one concern and strongest interest in our Township! Green space is also important, but our Township is unique in the fact that we have Dawes Arboretum with approximately 2500 acres of green space centrally located in our Township.
As stated earlier, zoning upgrades and improvements are our primary focus. We are focusing on beautification of our cemeteries-- one each year. Continuing to improve our roads, ditches, culverts, and drainage issues. Continuing to keep our fire dept. and road dept. equipment current and fully operational. Lastly, continuing to hire the very best employees for both fire and roads.

The cities are moving out to the rural areas and with that the need for housing, traffic issues are starting to become more of a concern for the township. I think people have moved here for that country feeling so our next leaders need to take that and do what's right for the people of the township. We need some growth, with growth comes prosperity but we need to do it in the right way for our community.
I am a small business owner living and working out in Licking Township and adjacent townships daily. I am working with HOA's, small businesses, large corporations and individual homeowners on a daily basis. The accessibility to talk to me and for me to address concerns in the township is very good for the citizens of Licking Township. I have built houses, built buildings so I know the processes that construction has to go through when growth happens in our township. I have had employees, so I know how to lead the men and women that work for our township. Most importantly, I know how to listen to people and get results that work best for everyone. That why my business has been successful.
I will be out in the township daily, taking calls and meeting with residents that have concerns or sharing information of new growth or issues within the Township.
Yes, I agree that losing agriculture land could become an issue for the township. People moved here to see the corn and bean fields across our township. I know growth is necessary, but it needs to be done the right way. It needs to be done in a way that it doesn't damage what we all have come to love about Licking Township.
Transparency and open communication are key. I will keep our residents informed of important issues that affect us all and make myself available to them.
