Hartford Township will see an increase in housing, the question is when will that happen. Maintaining the core fabric of the farming community is important and a flexible comprehensive plan for the future is important. Hartford Township has a developed a comprehensive plan to be voted on in the near future. Using that plan will direct future expansion.
Over the course of my 32-year career with a large metropolitan police department, I’ve developed a deep skill set that aligns closely with the responsibilities of a Hartford Township Trustee.

Leadership Experience: Led teams in high-pressure environments, managed complex operations, and made impactful decisions.

Human Relations Skills: Developed strong communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills through constant interaction with diverse individuals.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Cultivated a methodical approach to problem-solving, gathering facts, consulting stakeholders, and crafting practical solutions.
As Trustee, I will make it a priority to keep residents informed and involved in township decisions. I believe that transparency and communication are essential to good governance. To achieve this, I will:

Explore an opt-in messaging service that allows residents to receive timely updates via text or email about township meetings, decisions, and public notices.

Promote public participation by encouraging written feedback and attendance at township meetings.

Improve access to information by working to ensure meeting agendas, minutes, and updates are posted regularly and clearly on the township website and social media.

My goal is to make sure every resident feels informed, heard, and empowered to be part of the decisions that shape our community.
Property ownership is a cornerstone of American values. I firmly believe that landowners have the right to make decisions about their property. However, when those decisions have the potential to impact neighbors and the broader community, it’s essential that residents are informed and involved.

As Hartford Township Trustee, I will work hard to ensure transparency in all land use decisions. I will actively encourage public input—through open meetings, written communication, and direct engagement with the trustees. My goal is to foster a respectful, informed dialogue where all voices are heard and considered before decisions are made. Together, we can protect individual rights while preserving the character and well-being of our township.
Sustainable Fire Department: My top priority is to work toward re-establishing a full-time fire division that meets the safety needs of our growing community. I will explore funding options, staffing models, and partnerships to ensure the department is both effective and financially sustainable. Public safety is non-negotiable, and I believe our residents deserve reliable, professional emergency services.
