1. Boardman has always been a nice place to call home. One of my priorities is to continue to maintain the quality of life we have here. Safety professionals help keep our citizens secure, and other township departments maintain roads and help keep the integrity of our neighborhoods. 2. My second priority is to continue the progress already made on storm water issues that have plagued Boardman for decades.
1. The ability to provide an inviting and safe place to call home certainly sounds good. However, being able to continue the outstanding level of police and fire coverage we now enjoy, while staying fiscally sound will be a challenge. This will require working together with neighboring communities and unions to collectively accomplish this task. At the same time, we continue to work closely with our Road and Zoning Departments. Boardman has 144 miles of roads to maintain throughout the year while navigating rising prices of equipment and needed supplies. Zoning challenges include protecting the integrity of our many wonderful neighborhoods, while carefully balancing redevelopment of our business and commercial areas in an ever changing environment. These challenges can be accomplished by a team working together and using all applicable resources from all levels of government. 2. We have made significant improvements over the past several years. The problem is that a great deal of Boardman was developed prior to required storm water retention and detention rules. Much of our community has under sized infrastructure installed more than 50 years ago. Forest Lawn Water Park, the old Market Street Elementary School site, is a perfect example of our progress. That location will now detain up to 2 million gallons of water in a heavy rain event. This system is already working. The work continues, moving forward with a plan on Rt. 224 by The Boardman Plaza.

My top priority would be providing efficient safety and road services to the township. It is important that residents feel safe in their community and the infrastructure is properly maintained. My second priority would be keeping taxes as low as possible for the township residents. The recent property tax spike has been a significant burden to the entire area. All alternatives must be thoroughly explored before new tax levies become an option.
There is no easy fix for the township's problems. It's going to take hard work, reassessing the way things are done and looking for ways to improve the current methods.

My top priorities are bringing real economic growth back to Boardman and making sure homeowners are not the ones left holding the bag. That means modernizing our outdated zoning, filling empty plazas with businesses that create jobs, and making Boardman a place people want to invest in again. I will also focus on infrastructure and safety by tackling stormwater flooding, supporting our police and fire departments, and fighting for better services for seniors so Boardman stays safe, affordable, and family-friendly.
I will take action to update Boardman’s zoning codes, actively recruit businesses to fill our empty plazas, and build a clear redevelopment plan that grows revenue without relying on endless tax levies. Homeowners have carried the load for too long, and it’s time for leadership that fights to ease that burden.

On infrastructure and safety, I will make stormwater repairs a priority in the budget, work side by side with our safety forces to ensure they have what they need, and push for senior-focused services including relief for those on fixed incomes. My approach is straightforward: identify the problems, get to work, and deliver results the community can see.

My top two priorities for the Office of Boardman Township Trustee are, first, to continue to support our first responders and keep Boardman a safe community and second, to be easily accessible and transparent to our community so that citizens will have faith in our local government.
Regarding the first priority, as a criminal prosecutor for the last several years, I have seen first hand how important safety is to the success of a community. Throughout my career, I have built strong relationships with police departments in multiple jurisdictions and I know exactly what our community needs to combat crime. Boardman Township has one of the best police and fire departments in the State of Ohio and I want to keep it that way. I have dedicated my entire career to protecting those who could not protect themselves and I will deliver that same passion and drive to the people of Boardman. In my time as Trustee we have worked cooperatively with both the police and fire departments to ensure we are tackling problems as a team and I intend to continue those relationships if elected.

As to the second priority, I feel as though citizens have lost faith in local government and I am trying to restore that faith. I am accomplishing that by dealing directly with our citizens and solving any problems I can for them, big or small. In my short time as Trustee, I have been available by phone, E-mail, or publicly for citizens of Boardman and I have been accessible and transparent throughout. I will never promise something I can’t accomplish and I will always look for solutions that are reasonable and feasible. As a prosecutor, my reputation is all I have and I intend to always be truthful with the people of Boardman regardless of how it may affect public opinion.
