First, I believe trust is essential to building strong relationships between the school board, families, educators, and our community. Parents and guardians need to trust that we’re making decisions in the best interest of their children. Teachers need to trust that they’ll be supported in the classroom. And students need to trust that their voices matter and their education is a top priority.
Second, I’m committed to transparency in every aspect of how our schools are governed — from budgeting and curriculum decisions to how policies are developed and communicated. Our community deserves clear, honest, and timely information. I will work to ensure that every family feels informed and included in the process.
If elected, I will address trust by being consistently present, engaged, and accountable to the families, educators, and students in our district. I plan to attend school events, hold regular listening sessions, avoid private meetings when possible, and maintain open lines of communication so that community voices are not just heard — they’re reflected in the decisions we make. I want people to feel confident that the school board is working with them, not just for them.
To ensure transparency, I will advocate for clearer communication from the board — whether it’s how we share budget information, explain policy decisions, or report progress on key issues. I’ll push for accessible public updates, more community input opportunities, and improved access to board materials, so that the entire community feels informed and empowered.
