1)Residents of the northwest quadrant need a new water source and sanitary system to replace well water & septic systems. Townships can’t own or operate drinking water or sanitary systems. Working to secure these services for existing residents will benefit them & allow for new homes in the area. At an informational meeting by the ABC Water & Stormwater District, residents of Caymen Ct, Cayman Bluff, Chidester Dr, Palmyra & Turner Rd. expressed a sincere interest for these services. 2)Continue our paving & infrastructure improvement program to pave a development annually & replace or repair infrastructure--catch basins, crossover pipes, curb & gutters, etc.
1)It will be important to work with the ABC Water & Stormwater District Rep, who is actively pursuing funding to secure waterlines in the northwest quadrant. It's imperative to assist him in securing funding from sources such as; Congressionally Directed Spending, State Capital Budget, Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, the Port Authority, etc. We’ll need to add a water tower to be located on Township owned property. Equally important will be to communicate with the residents of the area.

2)We have been successful in paving developments in great part due to the ¼ Percentage County Sales Tax money which the voters approved in 2021 for roads, bridges, and infrastructure. We received $144,555 in 2022 and will receive that same amount in 2027 while receiving $289,111 in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. The sales tax was for a 5-year period and I was on the committee to pass the sales tax. I spoke to groups explaining how it would benefit our County and Township roads throughout our communities. Next year I will again participate in the committee to hopefully get the ¼ Percentage County Sales Tax approved for another 5-year period. Additionally, it’s important for us to work on securing grants through the Ohio Public Works Commission & funding from the ABC Water & Stormwater District for stormwater infrastructure. As well as continue to work with ABC to reduce flooding within the Township borders, thus protecting our infrastructure, roads, and private property.

Hard to pick just two. First, would be to maintain our balanced budget. Second would be to continue our roads and infrastructure programs.
It is vital to continue our balanced budget by working closely with our fiscal officer and the other trustees. I will keep asking "why", analyzing each expenditure, every project, and making projections for the future which will allow for sound financial planning. With sound fiscal management, and seeking grant money, we can do many things, but I will make sure that we stay focused on our paving programs and addressing our aging infrastructure concerns. We are in the midst of working a 5-year paving program focused on entire developments and roads close to each development. I will make sure this continues. By the way, the .25% sales tax money is key to a successful plan. If we lose this funding source (or even other sources like property tax for example) then we will rely on our fiscal planning. Our infrastructure continues to age. This includes things like failing pipes and crumbling catch basins that can cause sinkholes and flooding issues. It is a fact that many repairs are handled "in house" by our fantastic and capable public works department saving taxpayers thousands of dollars every year. We have invested in up-to-date equipment and the crew to make it work! This will continue if I am re-elected. We have done a lot but there is still much to accomplish! I would appreciate your support.
