I am fully committed to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the Ohio Constitution, with particular emphasis on the First Amendment and the Ohio Sunshine Law. If elected, I will ensure transparency and fiscal accountability in the City of Nelsonville. My office will operate with an open-door policy, welcoming anyone who wishes to discuss concerns or issues. Public records requests will be handled promptly and thoroughly, reflecting my dedication to openness. One of my key priorities is to find opportunities to reduce city spending, aiming to provide relief from the high water and sewer bills that burden our residents. Achieving this will require close collaboration with the city council and mayor, focusing on the efficient use of public funds.
In my current role, I conduct billing audits, process payments and refunds, create and review contracts, prepare estimates, maintain records, and resolve escalations with third-party partners. I serve as a liaison between service companies and extended warranty providers, mentor new hires, and utilize strong analytical skills along with various computer programs. I approach every interactions with customers, colleagues, and partners with empathy and respect. As a lifelong resident of Nelsonville, it’s an honor to run for auditor. I am proud to have received the AFSCME Power in Action endorsement. I have been actively involved in advocating for Issue 23 to abolish the Nelsonville Charter and have worked to support the rights of the voters.
I excel in project management, leadership, quality assurance, education, and time management. I am familiar with municipal procedures for appropriations, ordinances, and resolutions, and have experience in data entry, compliance, record keeping, and managing interpersonal relationships. My office will always uphold integrity, accountability, transparency, and fiscal responsibility, while remaining independent from political influence. Although statutory government requires party affiliation, I firmly believe that partisan politics have no place in city government. I treat everyone equally, regardless of party lines, and my only agenda is my love and commitment to Nelsonville.
