The Socialist Workers Party campaign is the only campaign with a program for the vast majority – the working class. Capitalism is the source of the economic, social and moral crises faced by working people worldwide, including in Minneapolis, which includes the drive toward another world war. The SWP campaign opposes Jew-hatred and supports Israel’s right to exist. Only a movement of workers to take power out of the hands of the capitalist class can begin to solve these crises in the interest of our class.
To fight for a union-led campaign for amnesty for immigrant workers to build the unity of the working class and to halt the arrests and deportations. The Socialist Workers Party candidates also call for a massive public works program to provide employment at union-scale wages building housing, schools, roads and other needed infrastructure, including building and staffing childcare centers to ease the burdens on working-class families, especially women.

By working to build a movement of all workers to fight in the interest of the working class on the road to taking power out of the hands of the bosses and their parties.
Capitalism destroys the two sources of wealth – nature and the worker. The capitalist class’s only concern is profit, not safety for workers, the environment, or those living near their factories, mines and railroads. Unions fighting for control of safety on the job means controlling the effects that the drive for profit has on the community as a whole – from pollution by dangerous chemicals, fires and explosions, and poisoning of the atmosphere. Only workers power can solve questions of safety and the environment.
I’m running for Mayor of Minneapolis to work alongside our community to achieve the vibrant, loving city we know Minneapolis can be. We know that for working people, it’s getting harder to build our lives here. And with Donald Trump back in power, everything we’ve worked so hard for is in jeopardy. It’s time to push back with forward-thinking leadership. Mayor Frey and the status quo are failing Minneapolis residents. We deserve leadership that makes it so people want to live here, raise families here, and start businesses here. Minneapolis is ready to invest in long-term solutions that will bring stability and security to our communities. We all want to invest in our shared success. We deserve an affordable city that is accountable to us.
My top priorities if elected are:
1. Building a Minneapolis working people can afford to call home. This means raising the minimum wage to $20/hr by 2028 and passing rent stabilization while incentivizing new construction & tenant protections.
2. Protecting our City from Donald Trump. This means MPD should not support ICE, whether it’s an immigration raid or not and standing up against Trump’s attacks on healthcare and bodily autonomy.
3. Diversifying our City’s public safety response. This means listening to the City's own data that shows 47% of MPD calls don’t require an armed response and funding non-police programs like mental health responders, crisis teams, and youth programs, while also clearing the backlog of unsolved police case
So much of our city’s joy, character, and economic opportunities are created by our small businesses. Minneapolis needs to become a leader in cultivating and supporting homegrown businesses. My plan for flourishing commercial corridors seeks to make the City an active partner in building a vibrant local economy. I will establish a City Office of Small Business Success, which will act as a place where business owners can turn when they need support navigating City bureaucracy, or if they are seeking help in hard times. I will also build on initiatives like the Vibrant Storefronts initiative and expand the City’s role as a facilitator of new business formation by partnering with owners of neglected or under-utilized commercial spaces.
From my first senate race in 2020, being accountable to my community has been at the core of my campaigns and work. As Mayor, I am committed to holding regular town halls, meetings and accountability sessions across the city in areas that are easy to access in order to hear directly from residents. I will make sure to hold meetings and public hearings ahead of any major decision that the City has to take, and I will work in close partnership with community organizations, leaders, unions, non-profits and more that represents large constituencies to make sure my office is easily accessible to all residents and that I am regularly hearing from the community. Minneapolis deserves a Mayor that will be accountable and easy to access.
In order to ensure that the City has the revenue to properly invest ramping up funding to the Minneapolis Climate and Equity Plan and to meet our ambitious climate goals I will implement the carbon fees passed by the City Council. We must make sure that the city’s biggest polluters are bearing the costs of the City’s response to the climate crisis they are contributing to, while also disincentivizing more pollution. Carbon fees are the best way to do that. We also need to make sure that the City is finding new sources of revenue to fund our ambitious climate goals without relying only on increasing property taxes, which overburden working class and marginalized homeowners that are already struggling to get by.

I am running for mayor because I love Minneapolis. This city is part of who I am, and I want every resident to feel safe, heard, and supported. Right now, too many feel left behind while our government is stuck in gridlock. I bring experience as building a local business, civil rights attorney, CEO, and professor of finance, along with a deep commitment to fiscal responsibility. I have freed a wrongfully convicted man, built partnerships between law enforcement and community, and advanced housing solutions. As the first mayor in 25 years with children in Minneapolis Public Schools, I understand what families face. My leadership is about listening, building bridges, and delivering results for our city.
As mayor, I will unify city leadership so we can move past gridlock and deliver real results. My first priority is public safety. We need a system rooted in trust, accountability, and prevention that protects every resident, not just some. My second priority is ensuring economic stability. That means creating good jobs, supporting small businesses, making sure families can afford rent or a mortgage, and keeping taxes from rising indefinitely. Public safety and economic vitality are the foundation for everything else, and by focusing on them together, we can build a Minneapolis where families and businesses thrive.
I will ensure our a Small Business Hub that serves as a true resource for entrepreneurs, offering legal and accounting support, low-interest microloans, and real assistance navigating city systems. We must remove red tape, streamline permitting and inspections, and be more responsive to local businesses during disruptive construction projects. Of course we need to continue building up downtown and Uptown, but we must also invest in the corridors and intersections that connect our neighborhoods, like West Broadway and 38th and Grand. When we make it easier to start and sustain a business across the city, we create stronger neighborhoods and a more resilient local economy.
I believe residents must be at the center of city decision-making. As mayor, I will consistently meet with City Council members who know their communities best and bring forward the perspectives of the people they represent. I will also hold quarterly town halls in every ward so residents across the city have a direct and consistent way to share feedback and shape priorities. In addition, I will create more accessible channels for residents to give input online and in person, and I will ensure transparency by reporting back on how community feedback is shaping policy. Engagement must be ongoing and meaningful, not symbolic, and I will lead with a commitment to listening and acting on what residents say.
We cannot let federal or state cutbacks stall our progress. As mayor, I will ensure Minneapolis has a dedicated Climate Equity Fund that guarantees transparency and stability, while also pushing to secure dollars from state, federal, and philanthropic partners. I will prioritize projects that lower costs and reduce emissions, including phasing out HERC by 2030, launching a 50,000 Trees by 2030 initiative, electrifying the city fleet, and expanding renewable energy. I will also support energy-efficient affordable housing and cleaner transit options. Community advisory bodies like the Climate Legacy Roundtable must have a real role in funding decisions so residents shape how we meet our climate goals.
I’m running for mayor because I’m concerned about the direction of Minneapolis. Many residents feel burdened by crime, high costs, mismanagement, and uninspiring leadership. Entering this race, though late, felt necessary — because it’s my purpose to step up when better structure, clarity(spending, priorities, accountability) and well-being measures are needed. I’ve spent decades as an aide, strategist, creative director, and image consultant/stylist, solving problems and bringing people together. From advising leaders at the highest levels — including serving as an aide to a Saudi Princess with family roots in Duluth — to supporting people at their lowest, I’ve gained the insight and perspective to unite people and move progress forward.
Crime and Well-being. On crime, I'll condemn it creatively and more visibly, through media storytelling, stricter consequences, community adverts, profound public art, and neighbourhood awards that uplift positive role models. Gun purchasing should be as thorough as foster care licensing, with background checks, referrals, inspected-gun storage standards and no home-military style weapons. Create Minneapolis Youth Games, Sports Divisions, and Talent Shows to give our young people opportunities and recognition. Also, hold adults accountable for troubled youth. Regarding well-being, I will implement household wellness checks and design multipurpose wellness/workforce centres for families, the homeless, and those struggling with addiction.
Minneapolis needs a rebrand. Each ward, and the city as a whole, should present itself as a welcoming, peaceful, and thriving place to live, work, and invest. My approach is threefold: Rebrand & Market Each Neighborhood by celebrating distinct character with elevated design, safety teams, and features that attract residents and visitors. Create Tools for Connection with a city website and app allowing residents and businesses to share needs directly with ward leaders and the mayor’s office. Celebrate Our Stories with OUR seasonal magazine highlighting businesses, residents, achievers, tragedies and triumphs, heroes, and culture. This mix of branding and engagement will attract new business while giving existing ones visibility and dignity.
Engagement starts with access. I will invest in a Minneapolis website, app, and social platforms where residents can share feedback and ideas. With permission, residents will be featured on official channels and in print so people feel seen and heard. Engagement must also feel joyful and unifying, so I'll launch Minneapolis Galas for business owners, first responders, families, and youth. These neighborhood celebrations, talent showcases, and awards nights will give people something to look forward to and a chance to connect across communities. I will also schedule ward tours and host town hall meetings to meet directly with residents and businesses, map out priorities, and ensure decisions reflect community voices and expert perspectives.
After meeting with environmental specialists and reviewing data on water, air, emissions, and energy use, I will ensure transparent reports are posted on a new modern Minneapolis website and app so residents stay informed. Our city’s health and role in protecting the planet require preventative measures such as efficient buildings, green infrastructure, smarter waste, and better transit. I will also champion community programs that highlight what residents are already doing and expand partnerships to grow renewable energy and sustainable practices. Even with funding cuts, Minneapolis can lead by being transparent, resourceful, and collaborative.

I'm the Technical Director of the Mpls Telecommunications Network. I've been on the business end of Affirmative Action and the Duluth Model and have always known they're illegal. For over 40 years I've been interested in pursuing Nuremberg style trials for perpetrators.
As 43a.191, and likely the Small and Underutilized Business Program are already likely under investigation by the Department of Justice, I should be able to focus time on military style takeover of road construction in the city.
1) Prosecute Affirmative Action.
2) Militarize Road Construction.
Immediately stop all non essential services and cooperate with Federal Investigators and demand the Met Council be disbanded and help insure the perpetrators are held responsible to the fullest extent of the law.

I’m running for Mayor because I’m afraid Minneapolis will be the next Detroit, MI, where working-class families get pushed out of their homes because they no longer can afford them, and low-income families become our next unhoused neighbors. I was once homeless in the streets of Minneapolis, so I know we need a permanent solution not a temporary fix. I have a background in criminal justice, so I know our community members and peace officers need to work together to make a safe place called Minneapolis. I have a 27-year background in finance, so I know we need a leader who can balance our budget so our small businesses and communities can stay and grow in our city.
It is challenging to select only one priority, as many issues are interconnected. can combine two priorities that go hand in hand: support our unhoused neighbors to build safer communities and supporting our small businesses to save our city's economy. First, we need to collaborate with the Governor to develop a comprehensive plan that prevents other states from relocating their unhoused populations to South Minneapolis, particularly within the Ward 9 area. This practice is unfair to our community and can sometimes compromise local safety. We must protect both the unhoused individuals and the neighborhoods they enter by providing genuine support and resources, rather than overwhelming a single community.
Minnesotans care about food, family, and community and we come together in every season. As Mayor, I’ll host year-round events in all 13 wards to unite neighbors, boost small businesses, and build a stronger city. We’ll invest in four-season public spaces with fire pits, heated benches, and family-friendly seating. Safety will be a priority at every event, with trained security and public safety coordination. I’ll bring back the Holidazzle Parade, launch a new Thanksgiving Parade featuring local students, and create “Minneapolis Rockin’ Eve” with music, food trucks, and a midnight Viking ship drop. These events will heal, grow our economy, and restore pride in our city.
As a candidate for Mayor, I’ve already been doing the work. I’ve attended nearly every ward’s coffee meeting, shown up to neighborhood gatherings, and made it a point to stop and talk with small business owners face-to-face. Minnesotans care deeply community. That’s why I’ll host year-round events in all 13 wards to unite neighbors, boost small businesses, and build a stronger, safer city. From Holidazzle on Nicollet mall and a new Thanksgiving Parade and “Minneapolis Rocking’ Eve,” these events will grow our economy and restore city pride. I’m ready to lead because I’ve been listening.
We must prioritize and strategically deploy existing city funds, starting with the most reliable resource our own budget. Programs like the Green Cost Share must not only be preserved but focused on high-impact projects such as energy efficiency, solar expansion, and electric transportation. Funding should be directed where it can make the biggest difference in reducing emissions. At the same time, we must ensure equity by investing significantly in Green Zones and supporting low-income communities.
