I have called Reynoldsburg home since 2016. I have been an active volunteer in our community and schools since that time. From coaching for Parks & Rec, leading Girl Scouts and contributing to the PTO as a volunteer and officer, I’ve been involved in any way that I can. Over the past three years, I have also had the privilege of serving on the city’s Planning and Zoning Board.
One of the key challenges in our district is the lack of equity across schools, particularly at the elementary level. I’ve seen this firsthand as a parent with a child in the district. This inequity is one of the primary reasons I decided to run for the Board of Education. If elected, I will work to identify the root causes of these disparities, investigate how best to repair them and advocate for the resources and changes needed to address them.
First, I aim to improve equity across all school buildings so every student—especially at the elementary level—has access to the same resources and programs, no matter where they attend.
Second, I want to strengthen communication within the district. Too often, the successes of our students and staff are overshadowed by negative narratives. Highlighting these positive stories is key to improving community perception.
Finally, I will address our budget challenges by analyzing current spending, promoting transparency, and working with the community to build support for a long-overdue levy.
The Board of Education serves as a panel of leaders for the district. They establish policy for staff and students as well as take input from the community. The most important responsibility however is to serve in a supervisory role over the Superintendent and Treasurer.
I am best suited for this position because I am passionate about public education and want to take action to see our district succeed. I am also approaching this responsibility with an open mind and willingness to serve.
I plan to engage with residents and community stakeholders by being consistently present, accessible, and genuinely responsive to their concerns. For me, representation starts with relationships, and relationships are built on trust—earned over time through regular, meaningful interactions.
Once I’ve heard from stakeholders, I see it as my responsibility to reflect what I’ve learned in the decision-making process—and to be transparent about how their input shaped outcomes. Even when every request can’t be implemented, people deserve to know that they were heard, understood, and respected.
Ultimately, community engagement isn’t a one-time step—it’s an ongoing commitment. I see it as a core part of leadership.
My approach to building consensus starts with truly listening to all stakeholders to understand the concerns behind their perspectives. This builds trust and sets the stage for collaboration. I then work to reframe the issue as a shared challenge, encouraging collective ownership and solution-focused dialogue. Flexibility is key—if early ideas don’t resonate or people feel unheard, I’m willing to pause, reassess, and adjust. To me, leadership in consensus-building means being adaptive, facilitating open conversations, and ensuring all voices help shape the path forward.

I was a treasurer of the PTO at my children’s school, I volunteered for the DEI Committee with our school district, I have attended school board meetings for the last 2 years, I am a LEAD Ohio graduate from 2024, and I was treasurer for the school levy committee in 2024.
1) Providing more transparency to our community and our teachers/staff. I would like to find a way for our district to have a weekly live stream where there are announcements, interviews, and commentary.
2) Finding new ways to be inclusive. For example, is there a way we could have in the moment audio translation for our students and/or parents where English is their second language?
3) Creating a volunteer pool for our school district through new initiatives. I would like to create a large, community wide volunteer drive where we make it easier to take fingerprints at events. By doing this, I believe we would have more members of our community volunteering in our schools.
Currently, our elementary schools do not offer art to our students (they offer Innovation instead) as an elective. Electives allow children to be exposed to several activities so that they know what interests them and could be nurtured. One of my goals would be to have that reinstated and funds allocated for that purpose. Ideally, we would get a levy passed for our school district in the near future. I have some ideas on how to finance this initiative (without a levy), but I would need to review our finances with the school treasurer before coming up with a solid plan for funding.
The board hires and evaluates the superintendent and treasurer, sets district policy, and approves budgets. Members also advise on operations, discipline, contracts, and foster community engagement.
I'm the best candidate due to my community connections, school district relationships, and district knowledge. I'm committed to ensuring ALL children receive quality education regardless of background—whether they're English language learners, have disabilities, or face other challenges. We must continue developing solutions for our students independent of state and/or federal changes.
I plan on having events that are more informal so that our community, educators, employees, and parents feel as comfortable as possible with talking to me as a board member. Regular updates on the current status of our district would also be expected from school administration. In addition, I would be constantly offering an ear to our leaders in the buildings if they would like to give me direct feedback.
Effective conflict resolution requires identifying shared values and common ground among diverse community stakeholders. My approach prioritizes inclusive dialogue, ensuring all parties have meaningful opportunities to present their perspectives before decisions are reached. I will utilize board comment periods to facilitate transparent discussion of key issues. Prior to casting votes, I commit to thoroughly reviewing all information and viewpoints, then clearly articulating my decision-making rationale to promote community understanding and trust in the democratic process.

Current Board Member, Reynoldsburg Resident with students in the District.
One of the most significant challenges our district faces is financial. We recently had to make $8.3 million in cuts and may face additional reductions due to decreases in state funding. As a Board member, I will carefully evaluate every financial decision to ensure that cuts are made responsibly and do not compromise the essential programs our students rely on. I will also advocate for creative solutions and additional funding opportunities to protect the classroom experience.
Another major challenge is the inequality in programming between school buildings. Every student in our district deserves access to the same high-quality opportunities. As a Board, we must prioritize equity and consistency in programming.
Leading the development and implementation of our district’s Strategic Plan to ensure long-term success for all students with fiscal responsibility of the taxpayers monies.
Advocating for fair and equitable school funding to strengthen public education across Ohio
As a current board member I have the experience necessary for the role as well as keeping some consistency is important.
Holding monthly office hours and by being out in the community and approachable.
It is important to listen to both sides and to make sure that both sides feel heard. I would then hold a meeting with both sides together so that they can mediate their differences and find a common ground.

Improving literacy rates and optimizing the use of our educational resources must be at the heart of how we prepare students for lifelong success. As we navigate significant changes in education policy, our responsibility is to ensure that every decision made, and every dollar spent, directly supports student achievement and future readiness.
My approach is solution-driven, I believe in critically evaluating our existing systems and using my voice and influence to collaborate with the statehouse on smarter, student-focused policy. Together, we can shape legislation and initiatives that create real opportunities—ensuring that students are not only learning, but developing the skills to become innovative problem-solvers and the enterprising
My top priority is improving literacy and making sure our schools prepare students for lifelong success as leaders. As a leader, I take a solution-driven approach, examining current systems, identifying what works, and partnering with the statehouse to craft better policies. I’ll advocate for reallocating existing education funds toward evidence-based literacy programs, engaging curriculum, and teacher support. I'll also pursue state and federal grants and build partnerships with local organizations to expand resources. Every dollar should go toward empowering students to become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and the leaders of tomorrow.
Members govern the administration by upholding education policy, and I am the best candidate because I bring the heart of a parent, the vision of a changemaker, and the expertise of a community leader. As a committed parent, I want every child in Reynoldsburg to receive a high-quality education that prepares them for greatness. I believe schools must do more than prepare students for jobs, they must teach them to create opportunities, think entrepreneurially, and lead. I know this from my own journey of creating opportunities for myself and what I want for my daughter. Advancing strong policies requires community engagement, and with years of experience leading public engagement in Central Ohio, I am ready to serve my community.
Once elected, I intend to actively engage with residents, parents, business leaders, faith leaders, and nonprofit organizations to learn from their perspectives. Whether through constituent hours, continued door-to-door conversations, or community partnerships, I will prioritize listening and collaboration. Public engagement will remain at the center of my service, ensuring every resident feels heard and every voice has a role in shaping opportunities and experiences for our children and our schools.
My approach to building consensus begins with listening. Every stakeholder group brings a valuable perspective, and I believe disagreements often stem from not feeling heard or understood. I create space for respectful dialogue, ensuring people know their input matters. From there, I look for common ground by identifying shared values, such as wanting the best outcomes for our children. I use clear, transparent communication to highlight areas of alignment and work through differences with patience, empathy, and data-driven solutions. My experience leading public engagement in Central Ohio has taught me how to navigate sensitive issues, bring diverse voices together, and
