One of the most significant challenges facing our community is ensuring that seniors can age safely and affordably. We must address the need for more services, such as the Dublin connector for older adults and their caregivers. I am a strong advocate for Alzheimer’s awareness and support for families. I will work to build partnerships with organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association and create opportunities for Alzheimer’s sensitivity training that helps people understand what it’s like to live with a memory loss disorder.
My top priorities include enhancing senior services, keeping seniors in Dublin, and educating the public about memory loss disorders. To finance these priorities, I will advocate for city budget allocations to senior services and explore partnerships with healthcare providers and nonprofits.
Central Ohio’s population growth presents both opportunities and challenges. To keep up with this growth while maintaining Dublin’s high quality of life, we need a proactive approach that includes expanding diverse housing options such as affordable homes for seniors, young professionals, and families.
I will prioritize direct engagement with our community by making myself accessible and hosting regular open office hours for all residents. I will advocate for the creation of a Senior Advisory Council to ensure that older adults are heard and represented.
My approach to building consensus starts with active listening and empathy. We can find common ground by focusing on shared values and open communication. I am committed to advocating for voices that are often overlooked, including older adults and caregivers. By ensuring they are included in planning and decisions, I will work to bring a diverse community of stakeholders together to create solutions that serve the best interests of our entire community.

Our residents love Dublin but the most common challenge people cite is rising property taxes. Although the City Council can’t directly lower property taxes, it can take steps to alleviate the tax pressure on residents, including: -Increase lobbying efforts for state reforms to school funding and property assessment formulas. -Integrate strategic zoning for mixed-use developments that revitalize underutilized areas to increase revenue without raising taxes. -Diversify the city’s revenue streams by pursuing state, federal and private grants, and promoting commercial growth in a manner respectful to our neighborhoods. -Implement innovations such as ethical AI to streamline. government operations and reduce waste.
My top priorities would be to further the Environmental Sustainability Plan adopted by the City Council and to increase civic participation in local government. Funding for both of these efforts can be provided by the City’s Capital Improvements Program (CIP), which is a 5-year budget for capital projects that is reviewed annually and can provide approximately $256 million in potential investments.

Funding for smaller civic engagement programs can also be obtained through federal grant programs , such as HUD or the EPA., or state and private foundation grants.
Dublin’s growth has led to a lack of housing availability & diversity, driving up prices and pushing homeownership out of reach. Young families can't afford to live here and retirees can’t downsize, thus disrupting the typical housing ladder that supports vibrant, multi-generational neighborhoods. Businesses also struggle to recruit talent when workers can’t afford to live nearby. We need innovative, collaborative solutions - like mixed-use zoning in areas such as Metro Center & West Innovation District - and public-private partnerships for employer-assisted housing programs, renewable energy rebates, and micro-transportation solutions to ease congestion. We also need to partner with nearby municipalities to develop smart infrastructure.
Civic participation is central to my campaign because every resident should feel their voice matters. Too often, Dublin residents feel disconnected from local government or uncertain about how to engage. I want to change that.

To increase civic participation, I propose opportunities for dialogue and empowerment, such as a leadership pipeline to develop community leaders, Civic Innovation labs where local issues can be explored collaboratively, and informal Civic Roundtables where people of disparate backgrounds can discuss issues collegially. These initiatives will create more inclusive, accessible ways to shape decisions that reflect our community’s shared values, and ensure a place where everyone is heard and respected.
In civic life, competing interests are common. I’ve learned that building consensus starts with listening to all voices, addressing concerns, and finding shared values. As a physician, I often help families with differing goals find common ground. The same applies to city government: residents, businesses, and leaders can align around shared priorities like neighborhood safety, excellent schools, diverse communities, and a thriving economy. Conflict often stems from feeling unheard, but when people are respected and involved, collaboration thrives. With my experience in medicine, business, and community leadership, I’ll bring trusted, innovative, and inclusive solutions to City Council—turning disagreements into progress.

The first issue is the inability to travel quickly from ones home to markets, entertainment and fulfilling parks. The execution of the metro center to create the most advanced walkable city in the world and creates new various housing opportunities. The second issue is creating spaces to encourage Americans to adopt healthier lifestyles. We are currently in process of creating the 3rd largest sports facility in the United States, and if you live in Dublin it is shown to increase your lifespan by 8 years.
My priorities are to create the most advanced walkable city in America with a variety of advanced quality of life activities, such as the above 2 items. We will finance our projects through TIFFS and we have an extraordinarily strong tax base because we have introduced many businesses into our community.
We are currently working on what I would call sub-cities in Dublin that are totally walkable which will contain a variety of housing opportunities. Given that these cities are 100% walkable, it creates more opportunities for housing where roads and parking lots would normally exist.
I personally have spent a minimum of 1 hour with over 2,200 of the 2,400 homes in my immediate community asking what they would like to see Dublin become and why they have chosen to live there. We also have a plethora of community meetings for every new project that comes through Dublin. We also allow 5 minutes for every citizen to speak before the City Council when they so desire.
All stake holder groups are given the opportunity to air their disagreements with each other and the city through public meetings that will then work with them to create common consensus. From these meetings come some really important ideas that have to be resolved, engaging all those involved in creative problem solving techniques.
