Our major challenges relate to our aging infrastructure of our six high school buildings, challenges related to student attendance since our return from Covid and the continuing issues with the S2 state funding for public schools.
As the incumbent I have participated in and will seek follow through on the 5 year capital improvement plan where we have committed 12 Million dollars annually to improve our physical plant, we have also identified policy changes and specific incentives to improve student attendance. I also will continue to advocate with our state legislative representatives to correct errors in the state funding formula to restore full funding to our district.
I have personally raised three children who have graduated from our fabulous school districts. I have also served as a BOE member, a youth group advisor, an Our Whole Lives educator and a Girl Scout Leader. Professionally, I have over 2 decades of experience in Nonprofit business management overseeing budgets, physical plant improvements and policy implementation. I have been an educator at the community college level teaching nonprofit finance and policy development. I am also a small business owner of a grant consulting firm which has found creative alternative funding streams and secured millions of dollars in funding for our clients throughout the US.
I have always considered myself a good listener and my social work training reinforces this skill. I am open to hearing any and all concerns and directing parents to the proper channels within our administration to have their concerns heard and acted upon

Over the past decade, our district has been significantly impacted by cuts in state funding to our schools. As a student, I’ve lived through these changes firsthand and watched as services and programs were cut to keep the district afloat. Luckily, with fiscal year 2026, the state aid numbers will remain relatively stable. While I, of course, will always advocate for legislative changes to the formula, I look forward to refocusing on internal district issues as our revenues become more consistent.
We must fix our aging facilities. As the district has had to grapple with funding cuts, the critical infrastructure needs of our school buildings have gone unmet. As a board member, I pledge to approve budgets that meet this desperate need. Moreover, I will support and advocate for a district-wide referendum to approve desperately needed funds for our facilities.
Furthermore, our classrooms face unprecedented times regarding the rapid development of artificial intelligence, like ChatGPT. I recognize that such technologies revolutionize student productivity and ability, yet pose a threat to the traditional assignments and learning in our school curricula. On the board, I plan to encourage our curriculum teams to implement ways to use artificial intelligence effectively and ethically in a way that gives them an edge in their future careers, while preserving authentic learning in the classroom.
Let’s address the elephant in the room: I’m currently enrolled in the FRHSD. While some may point to my age as a drawback, it’s actually my greatest strength. As a student and soon-to-be graduate, I have direct knowledge of the day-to-day operations, and I see the effects of our policies in real time. In short, I understand the needs of our students, educators, and administrative staff. I bring firsthand experience that no one else on this ballot can offer.
As a board member, I’m committed to maintaining open communications with our parents and neighbors. Board members are a liaison between the district and the community, and I intend to serve as such. I will listen to concerns, work to resolve issues, and connect families with the right channels when needed.
I want to make myself easy to reach. I can be contacted directly through email, social media, and my website. I have active notifications for all points of contact and respond as soon as possible. Parents and community members will always have a clear, direct, and personal line of communication with me.
