1) Holmdel attracts families from near and far because of its exemplary school system. In fact, Holmdel was recently ranked the #1 destination by out-of-district home shoppers in the NY-NJ metro area by realtor.com. While this is wonderful news, the Holmdel school district's $2.5M budget deficit entering the 2025-2026 school year is concerning. Parents have moved here and continue to move here, but without fiscal responsibility, we will not be able to deliver on our promises of first-class education and top-notch facilities.

2) Our lives continue to move faster in a technology driven world. Our school system faces a major challenge in harnessing the positives of technology while protecting students from its dangers. The use of technology should not replace or diminish the need for critical thinking and problem-solving. It should also be controlled so as not to be a distraction or lead to decreased attention spans or emotional harm. Students need to be taught how to evaluate all the information that's easily accessible, especially with artificial intelligence, and distinguish between fact, fiction and opinion. We need to prepare students for the future without eroding their work ethic, questioning mindset or ability to positively socialize.
I've built a successful career as an accounting executive by combining strong planning skills with clear, effective communication. I manage complex, high-stakes responsibilities: overseeing tax compliance across hundreds of jurisdictions and ensuring timely, accurate million-dollar payments. My role is to uncover savings and eliminate waste while safeguarding quality. Frequently, I present strategies to management, answer for spending decisions and provide documentation that stands up to audits from external consultants and taxing authorities.

These qualities have also made me successful in my roles as an HYAA Basketball Commissioner and Varsity Basketball Official. HYAA manages 80 teams across travel and recreational leagues each season, handling all aspects from rostering and uniforms to scheduling and facilities. We manage our budget efficiently and find ways to give back to the school through donations such as new scoreboards and gym padding as well as through our referee mentor program where patched officials work side by side with current students. As an official myself, I come to each game needing to set the tone and expectations, including sportsmanship and respect. Despite these high-pressure situations, I must remain professional and apply the rules fairly and consistently in real time. Without effective communication and fair play, an exciting game can turn disastrous quickly.

If elected to the Holmdel BOE, I promise to show up, to be prepared and to be fair.
If elected to the BOE, I promise to listen first and foremost. My job as a BOE member is to serve you as a member of our school community. If there are concerns, suggestions or feedback, I want to hear them all – nothing is off the table.

I won’t know each person’s individual concerns until I hear them out and many of them are bound to conflict with each other. There are a lot of individuals in Holmdel and they all have valid, unique experiences. I will listen to each concern, evaluate each idea and give my honest view on the situation. I will try to reach consensus with parents on opposing sides of an issue. By committing to being open-minded and eager to listen, the best ideas and perspectives will have the greatest chance of being put into action. I’m comfortable leading teams, managing personalities and collaborating to find middle ground.
