I worked 30 years for Toledo Public Schools, first as a secretary, where I learned how schools work. Then as a School Psychologist where I learned what students, parents and teachers need to make a quality education happen. For the last 12 years I have been in the role of governing as a Board of Education Member This adds up to well over 40 years experience in education.
We need to continue to face the reality of the assault on public education brought to us by Ohio lawmakers and now even from Washington. This means fighting back and raising awareness on issues ranging from teaching the truth to appropriate funding for public schools. We need to protect local control of schools and the role of locally elected Boards of Education.
All while continuing to provide the best possible instructional environment for students and educators.
