One of the most important issues facing our time is the rising costs to our residents to be able to survive in today’s society. I plan to address this by working with neighboring towns and our county to take advantage of shared services. This can help our residents save on their tax dollars when we all work together. Our county takes a good portion of our taxes and we should getting that $$ back if they are not supporting our town. Also as our population grows we need to make sure our seniors our being treated fairly and expand our dial-a-ride system program to help meet their needs.
As a small business owner, father of four as well as an account executive I know the challenges that we all face. I’ve shown how I’m able to work across the aisle for the better good of our town. I am a proven leader year after year growing my small business. Growing sales as an account executive. I’m a proven people person who is reliable and able to get stuff done. No task is ever to small for me for the benefit of all included. I am a go getter and leader, not a follower and will continue to help Rockaway Township grow and serve all into the future.
To help support a vibrant economy in our community I plan to help continue enacting smart government policies for our residents. Continue to invest in helping our local business grow. We need to invest in our local infrastructure to make sure we do not have any surprises year after year. We need to continue to giveback to our residents to see their tax dollars being spent wisely.
Continued improvements our needed at Peterson Field as well as finally bringing a Dog Park to our town. When you continue to improve our town our schools our economy will continue to grow with more families wanting to live here as we become the hot spot of Morris County.
This is a broad question, but this has impacted us through the implementation of the Immigrant Trust Directive, which limits local law enforcement’s involvement in civil immigration enforcement while upholding state law. While federal directives push for increased immigration enforcement our County’s sheriff department is restricted from participating in stops and enforcement which helps with trust in our community. I pray for our immigrant friends to be treated fairly and justly and will do my best to support them.
We should be implementing smart growth strategies like compact, mixed- use development and invest in public transit, walking, and cycling infrastructure, alongside Green infrastructure practices to manage stormwater and preserve natural areas. We need to come up with a compete streets policy, promote energy efficiency in new construction, fostering land-use and transportation integration, and addressing environmental justice concerns by involving the community in planning decisions.
