The biggest challenge we face is overdevelopment. Too many decisions are made to please developers instead of the people who actually live here. We all see the results, more traffic, overcrowded schools, and Montville losing its small-town feel. I believe in smart growth, not growth that buries us. That means protecting open space, fixing infrastructure, and making sure Montville stays a place where families want to live. I’m running to make sure residents’ voices come before developers
I’ve spent my career in the railroad, the last 4 years as a mechanical foreman. I lead crews through tough weather and high-pressure situations, making sure the job gets done right, and I take responsibility when it doesn’t. That kind of work teaches you to fix problems, not talk circles around them. I also serve on the Montville Township Environmental Commission and Open Space Committee because I care about protecting the land that makes this town special. Most importantly, I’m raising my family here. I want safe streets, strong schools, and a community that looks out for each other. I’m not a career politician — I’m a working guy who shows up, listens, and delivers.
Montville Township’s economy runs on small businesses, local contractors, shop owners, restaurants — the people who keep this town moving. We need to cut the red tape that slows them down and make it easier for them to grow. At the same time, we need to push back on large developments that drive up costs and change the character of our town. A strong Montville means smart investments in infrastructure, open spaces that attract families, and community events that keep money local.
Immigration policy can feel like a Washington issue, but it affects real families here. My job as a Township Committee member won’t be to play politics with it — it will be to make sure every resident feels safe, respected, and part of this community. Washington can argue all day. Here in Montville, we take care of our neighbors.
Montville’s open space and natural character are worth protecting, and frankly, they haven’t gotten enough attention. That’s why I joined the Environmental Commission and Open Space Committee — to do my part. We need clean water, strong stormwater systems, and safe air. At the same time, our roads, utilities, and first responders need investment. Overgrowth of trees, power failures, and poor planning have been ignored for years, leading to traffic, higher taxes, and lower quality of life. I believe in smart growth projects that meet our needs without overwhelming our schools, roads, and services. Montville’s future depends on protecting what we have while building smarter for tomorrow.
