What are your priorities to address the impact on Virginia of the dramatic changes to the Federal Budget and the decrease of Virginia’s tax base due to the loss of Federal employment?

Do you support legislation allowing Virginia to adopt the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (would ensure that every Virginia vote for President is equal to those votes from every other state and DC, while also guaranteeing that the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide wins the Presidency)?

If elected, what will be your top priorities for Virginia?

Federal workforce changes are an opportunity for Fairfax Co to gain Federal jobs. There has not been a "decrease". I will work with decision makers to bring more federal agencies to Fairfax Co. Federal workers drive the economy, providing great opportunities for small business. I worked for the Federal Government. I don't know of any current Fairfax Co Delegate who has. All I have seen so far are suffering Federal Workers being exploited by politicians whose sole interest is staying in power. These politicians are beholden to Out of State and Special interest money, they cannot be trusted to work for us. I have seen zero "working across the aisle". Just complaining is not responsible. Time for Common Sense action & change.
I do not Support. The Constitution is designed to balance competing interests and provide a reason for those interests to stay together. To change the voting process requires a Constitutional Amendment, which has been done multiple times. The Compact is an illegitimate end run around the Constitution. We were "Given a Republic if we could keep it". Without amending the Constitution, the Interstate Compact will not be accepted by most of the country and will not survive court challenge. There have always been those who want a democracy vs. the Republic the United States Constitution provides and guarantees for every State. The majority has not been interested in giving up the Republic. The Compact is a vehicle for one party rule.
Increasing Federal jobs in Virginia, emphasis on Fairfax Co. I spent 35 yrs managing resources for Dept of the Army. The Federal Restructure (and this is not the first one) is an opportunity for growing Federal jobs in Virginia. Due to one party rule, Fairfax Co is unaffordable. Voters said no to the Car & Meal taxes. Yet they were imposed. Military Retirement should be exempt from taxes. Fairfax Government has no transparency or accountability. It does have huge salary increases for top bureaucrats, not so much for teachers and county workers. Special interests have control. Only balance instead of one-party rule will provide change. We no longer have excellent schools. Education dollars must go back in the classroom.
