The Safe Act is the only way to protect everyone’s right to vote. Though there is an argument that only a small number of illegal votes happen, one’s to many as it cancels out a legal vote denying an individuals right to vote. We also need to insure the State protects our citizens by vetting nomination signatures.
Non and as should be, it has been voted on by the people of Arizona. Though I don’t agree with the outcome, I can accept because the majority voted.
Lowering taxes on small businesses and removing regulations is the best answer. These allow small businesses to grow and therefore increase the number of people they can employ and their wages. This in turn increases the tax revenue the government receives. A larger company allows that company to provide healthcare insurance.
First, increase border security by putting more officers on the border and drones. We must stop the flow of drugs and human trafficking at our border.
We must remove the millions that entered our country illegally under Biden’s Term. Laws were ignored and many fail to understand what truly happened at our southern border. It is illegal to cross our border at any point but a port of entry. This was ignored during Biden’s Term and none were prosecuted and simply given asylum. Putting these individuals in front of others who have been complying in a lawful manner is unfair.
We need to focus on giving those who meet the criteria for legal status Resident Alien status. This allows them the right to work and pay taxes. It doesn’t give them the right to vote or collect SS.
Water is an issue and many are upset about the plans to use reclaimed water as drinking water. I believe we have plenty of ground water for drinking and should consider using reclaimed water for farming and mining.
Ranchers face difficult struggles with the EPA such as closing off land when animals that have been relocated by nature turn up and become protected animals by the EPA. The animal should be captured and returned to its natural habitat or simply left alone. Ranchers should not have to spend their days in court fighting to simply be left to do their jobs.
Mining, is something that must be done but our resources are being taken and Arizona isn’t being properly compensated. China has always been very skilled at taking advantage of our ignorance to their mining practices. Even in the 80’s China was purchasing our Black Ore and getting enough gold from it to cover their cost and therefore getting the ore for free. Once discovered Magma start removing the gold.

I will cosponsor the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and support legislation such as the Freedom to Vote Act that protects our democracy by protecting voting rights, ending partisan gerrymandering, improving campaign finance by curbing dark money in politics, and safeguarding our elections. I also support making Election Day a national holiday. As a Pima County Supervisor, I voted to make voting more accessible by establishing new vote centers where any voter registered in Pima County could cast their ballot, regardless of their home address. Previously, voters had to go to specifically assigned precincts, which often led to confusion.
Attacks on reproductive rights and access to abortion care disproportionately harm low-income, immigrant, communities of color, and of other vulnerable populations. The federal government should play a strong role in providing funds for Title X, the only domestic, federally-funded program dedicated to family planning. Outcomes of family planning services have demonstrated greater workforce participation, higher educational attainment, and lower health care cost overall.
I will forcefully stand for the right to make one’s own health care decisions, free from dangerous government interference. During my time on the Pima County Board of Supervisors, I led a resolution opposing Arizona’s 15-week abortion ban and supported our County Attorney in making sure reproductive healthcare providers did not face legal consequences from providing care to their patients.
When elected, I will fight back against the extreme measures the current administration is putting into place.
Lower housing prices by supporting construction of new affordable housing and providing grants to revitalize neighborhoods through housing repairs. I will also advocate to establish guaranteed housing assistance for the unhoused, including veterans.
Defend Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and the VA. I know the damage that happens when these critical programs are severely underfunded. I will work to ensure that every person gets the benefits they have earned.
Fully Fund Public Education - As a former school board member and mom of three, I know how important it is to ensure we have strong public schools that are the “great equalizer” between the wealthy and poor.
I will cosponsor the PRO Act to support access to a union.
I will also work to expand and enhance the Child Tax Credit and EITC.
I support comprehensive, humane immigration policies and will:
Fight for legislation that creates workable, legal pathways to citizenship for undocumented individuals, including Dreamers, veterans and TPS recipients; support legislation that expands access to humanitarian parole
Work to uphold due process and access to counsel, including for children; end all forms of family detention and eliminate for-profit immigration detention centers.
Put our community first by providing access to experienced constituent services to help immigrants and mixed-status families in Arizona navigate our needlessly complex immigration system
I’m the proud granddaughter of an immigrant who came to the U.S. to work as a bracero. I understand that our nation is better and stronger when we are inclusive. Immigrants are the fabric of our Southern Arizona community and an undeniable economic boon for the nation. It’s time to stop demonizing them and to start treating them with respect and dignity.
I will build upon my father, Congressman Grijalva’s, efforts to address environmental injustices by bringing in impacted communities and creating a process for inclusive policies. I plan to join the Natural Resources Committee and fight alongside communities impacted by pollution and ensure they have a continued voice in Congress on issues of environmental justice.
I will work to create a green jobs revolution that fuels growth in renewable industries; expanding multimodal transportation, green infrastructure, and public parks.
I will promote water conservation through climate resiliency projects while also addressing water contamination from PFAS and other toxic pollutants. I will also work to preserve environmentally sensitive, historic, and cultural sites for future generations and respect tribal sovereign lands, treaties and obligations.
