At the present time, I do not think it would be beneficial for local law enforcement to assist in ICE activities. Current ICE activities indicate poor training, violation of citizens rights, and lack of due process for the people that are arrested. ICE policies need to be thoroughly evaluated prior to any additional law enforcement being involved. Presently, it appears that people are being sent to countries they have never lived in. Now, private jails are being erected to hold people in inhumane conditions around the country. Getting local law enforcement involved would not be good for Virginia, and would probably cause more civil unrest like we see around the United States.
I support the three proposed constitutional amendments coming before the House of Delegates in the upcoming term. I believe women should have autonomy over their reproductive rights. It is truly a matter of life and death. Reproductive freedom is vital to women's health. The government should not be involved these decisions. I believe that once a person serves their time, their voting rights should be automatically restored, so they can participate in the voting process. I truly believe in separation of church and state. I believe that citizens should have the right to marry whom they choose. Although this is antithetical to my religious beliefs; I do not believe government should legislate morality.
The use of retention grants for companies that maintain or increase payroll, R&D activity, or capital investments year-over-year. Workforce programs such as the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) and the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program help businesses offset hiring and training costs. Passing legislation for collective bargaining will make Virginia an attractive state for workers. Public-private partnerships for tech parks, logistic hubs, and co-working facilities could create dynamic ecosystems—especially in underserved areas. Offer Innovation Incubation Credits or grants for businesses that invest in R&D partnerships, university collaborations, or technology commercialization.

As the Delegate for the 69th District, I will bring my experience as a father, husband, and long-term pediatrician to the House and advocate for every family in the 69th district. Facing an uncertain healthcare environment, I will use my position as delegate and the only doctor in the House of Delegates to advocate for affordable health care for all, stronger public schools – K-12 – and advance common-sense gun safety laws that honor the right to bear arms without detrimentally affecting public safety. In my district, we have seen the undeniable impact of climate change, with flooding on the York River and increased severe weather. As the Delegate, I will introduce and support legislation that lowers energy costs, Virginia’s carbon footprin
While I understand the need for immigration enforcement and respect the officers that put their lives on the line to support these activities, I do not support using state and local law enforcement to assist in ICE activities within the Commonwealth. Local and state law enforcement exist to protect the community and the Commonwealth and deputizing them for ICE purposes not only draws away focus from community public safety work but also leads to immigrant communities becoming fearful of reporting crimes and cooperating with local and state law enforcement, leading to a less safe environment for all. Immigration enforcement activities are a purely federal responsibility and engaging local and state law enforcement in these activities is detr
As a Delegate, I will strongly support all three of the proposed amendments that will remove the Commonwealth’s outdated ban on same-sex marriage, restore voting rights to felony convicts that have satisfactorily completed their sentences without the need to petition the Governor, and enshrine reproductive health care options – including contraception access, fertility care, and abortion. While removing the constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and amending the constitution to protect the right to vote and personal autonomy will be up to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I look forward to supporting these amendments in the next term to give Virginians the right to choose in 2026.
Virginia has long been regarded as a top pro-business state, and I look forward to ensuring we invest in our public education system and quality infrastructure, especially projects meeting increased commercial energy demand. These policies will continue to attract employers, creating sustainable and good-paying jobs for Virginians. We must repeal Virginia’s “right-to-work” law, which weakens workers’ collective bargaining powers and forces down their wages. By repealing this law, a pro-worker environment paired with a top pro-business climate will ensure that Virginia remains attractive to businesses and workers alike.
