As a career prosecutor, I am uniquely suited to handle the current challenges facing prosecutors, including recruiting and maintaining the highest level of legal talent with a dedication to service and justice and ensuring prosecutors have the resources they need to administer justice. We will continue our efforts to eliminate gun violence via Operation Ceasefire and will continue to expand our efforts to enforce environmental crimes through our Environmental Justice Initiative. We look forward to combining our alternative dockets for a more streamlined approach to recovery in prosecutorial cases. And lastly, we must better tackle incorporating technology in meaningful ways to advance the criminal justice system for all sides.

Time has taught me the value of zealously advocating on behalf of the community and victims while maintaining a sense of dignity for all involved in the criminal justice system. Having served as a prosecutor for almost 20 years, I have worked with, and on behalf of, the most vulnerable citizens in various localities; from individuals with disabilities, the elderly, or those who are so young they cannot even speak. I have devoted my career to educating the public so that they will in turn be better aware of both their responsibilities as citizens as well as their rights as participants in the system. The goal is to always serve to make a positive impact in the lives of those who have been victimized and to keep our community safe.

I love the City of Suffolk for many reasons and choosing Suffolk was a very deliberate move. I chose my city to be close to much of what Hampton Roads had to offer but to experience a city with a high quality of life. While the rapid growth has sometimes strained an otherwise peaceful coexistence, it is a great City. The people are warm, caring, generous and community oriented, City government is accessible, responsive, and ever evolving, and there is much to explore. It's a city filled with opportunities with something new happening every week and a great place to raise a family.
