The Coroner’s Office makes inquiries into all deaths, whether natural or unnatural, in Cortland County. Such duties and responsibilities include investigation into said deaths as violent, unlawful or criminal violence, suicide, criminal abortions, homicides, etc. The Office assists the various law enforcement agencies and District Attorney’s Office and requests and oversees autopsies as needed.Coroners serve 4-yr. terms.Current Cortland County Coroners:Denise Bushnell: Appointed 1/1/2021 Term Expires: 12/31/2025Bryan M.
