Owning my own businesses over the last 30 years has taught me to balance my budget, work with union contractors, hire staff, understand the process of starting a business.
Making our neighborhoods safe and clean. Will work with neighborhood leaders to hear their concerns and assist their needs. All children should be able to play outside with others and not worry about being safe.

I have worked in Economic Development for Downtown Toledo for nearly a decade. I have worked to attract hundreds of millions of dollars of public and private sector investment to Downtown Toledo. I have been serving on Toledo City Council since February of 2024.
My priorities when elected will be to attract further business and residential growth, refine our permitting and zoning practices, and to get our city's finances in order. In order for Toledo to grow, we must ensure is working efficiently and purposefully. We need zoning reform that encourages new housing starts, and economic development. I am currently working as part of the budget task force to ensure Toledo's fiscal house is in order. We are weighing responsible budget cuts and revenue increase sources

I have a decade of experience working in municipal government. After graduating from law school, I was hired by former Toledo Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson to work in her administration, and have worked in varied other departments like Finance and Public Utilities. I love being a public servant, and have become an expert in budgeting, contract negotiations, policy and legislation.
My highest priority is neighborhood development. I think we can all agree that downtown Toledo has had some transformative changes, but now it’s time to put resources into our residential neighborhoods. This includes access to housing, increasing public safety, combatting poverty, and creating walkable livable neighborhoods. We will be re-writing our zoning code, creating new jobs, and really focusing on helping folks achieve the American dream right here in Toledo. I want our city to become the best place in the Midwest to raise a family, start a business, retire, and vacation in and I think we are on the right path.

I have spent over 20 years in operations, logistics, and problem solving, from working the front lines to running my own contracting and property services business. Every day I deal with real issues such as broken streets, unsafe housing, and slow services, and I get results. I have managed budgets, led crews, negotiated with city departments, and delivered projects that directly improve neighborhoods. I have built partnerships with unions, nonprofits, and community leaders to bring resources where they are needed most. I know how the system works, where it fails, and how to fix it.
My priorities are better city services, stronger neighborhoods, and honest leadership. I will push for faster road, trash, and infrastructure repairs, hold departments accountable, and make city government easier to access. I will fight blight, support small businesses, and grow homeownership so neighborhoods thrive. I will work with community leaders and unions to target resources where they have the most impact. I will be visible, responsive, and direct. No hiding and no excuses. Toledo deserves leaders who show up and get it done, and that is exactly what I will do.

My experiences and background in public service, community leadership, and coalition building have uniquely prepared me to continue fulfilling the responsibilities of this office. When I first ran for Toledo City Council, I did so with the belief that local government is where we can most directly shape the lives of our neighbors. For the past year and a half, I took the time to learn Toledo from a government lens, while also reconnecting with the residents. Additionally, and on a more personal level, I did this while raising a young family. I am honored to serve, to listen, and to deliver results for the people of Toledo.
Ultimately, the best preparation for fulfilling the responsibilities of this office is having already done the work—and having done it with integrity, transparency, and results. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far.
My highest priorities are addressing the state of food security, stable household security, and workforce development. Those three can lead to stronger neighborhoods, expanded youth opportunities, more accountable government, and a vision for a city where every resident can thrive.
Many organizations are at risk of closing or minimizing their operational footprint. This means that residents who need their services struggle with accessibility or affordability. This is why I advocate for prioritizing legislation, funding, and programming as a means to get ahead of the possible struggle facing all residents. I plan to continue creating and co-sponsoring legislation that would support families in time of need and afterwards.
With your support, I am ready to keep building on our progress, tackling our challenges with determination, and fulfilling the responsibilities of this office with dedication to the people of Toledo.

I bring a track record of community leadership, coalition-building, and advocacy that directly prepares me to serve on Toledo City Council. My work has centered on bringing people together to solve problems, whether it’s fighting for fair wages, improving access to healthcare, or working to ensure our neighborhoods are safe, supportive places where families can thrive. I’ve led initiatives that required balancing budgets, negotiating with stakeholders, and making decisions that impact diverse groups of people. These experiences have taught me how to listen, build consensus, and take action—skills that are essential for serving on Council. I also understand the importance of government transparency and accountability, and I am committed to ensuring that residents’ voices are not only heard but acted upon.
My top priorities are strengthening Toledo’s economy, ensuring safe and healthy neighborhoods, and expanding opportunities for all residents. I will support small businesses, good-paying jobs, and worker protections, while also investing in infrastructure, public safety, and affordable housing. By working collaboratively with residents and community partners, I will make sure City Council delivers results that improve people’s daily lives.

I was born and raised in Toledo, a proud graduate of Toledo Public Schools and the University of Toledo. For 32 years, I worked as a special education paraprofessional, most recently at Scott High School, where I ensured students received the support they needed to succeed. Beyond the classroom, I’ve been active in labor advocacy through the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists and Toledo Federation of Teachers, where I helped negotiate a contract that secured an 87% wage increase for paraprofessionals. I also serve as a guest minister at Braden United Methodist Church and lead programs that support children and families. Since my appointment to Toledo City Council in 2020, I have continued this work—advocating for safe, clean neighborhoods, affordable housing, and essential services. My lifelong experience as an educator, union leader, and community servant has prepared me to fulfill this office with compassion and commitment.
My highest priorities center on building safe, strong, and thriving neighborhoods. First, I will continue the progress we’ve made in engaging our youth by investing in programs, activities, and parks that provide positive opportunities and spaces for growth. At the same time, I will continue to support community non-violence initiatives that address the root causes of crime and strengthen trust between neighbors.
I am also committed to directing funds toward decreasing blight and revitalizing our communities by increasing opportunities for homeownership and stabilizing our housing stock. Finally, I will work to ensure that unhoused citizens receive the services they need, with a focus on connecting them to stable housing and support systems. Together, these priorities will move our community forward in a way that is both compassionate and sustainable.

Support the American Dream
Build citizen wealth through the equity of home ownership. Designate land use zoning for more home owners rather than rentals in line with neighboring communities. Consider more economical and diverse ownership options including renovations, tiny houses on razed lots, condominiums, and co-ops. Support the Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) program, the Financial Opportunity Center and the Land Bank. Encourage reverse mortgages.
Make Neighborhoods Safe
Support the 12-point ordinance drafted by the Coalition for Peaceful Toledo. Increase police presence, enforce curfews and bolster Block Watch. Introduce ordinances for gun safety training and storage. Reduce homicides to less than ten per year.
Invest in Infrastructure
Oversee budgeting and spending for the repairs of the water treatment plants. Coordinate sewer repair with road repair. Prioritize the most deteriorated sewers and roads. Create a road repair budget that does not require a special tax levy.

I am a lifelong Toledoan, a real estate broker, and the President of the Ohio Realtist Association — the first from Toledo in its 73-year history. My career has been dedicated to increasing access to homeownership, advocating for equitable housing policy, and leading initiatives that strengthen our neighborhoods. I have worked with city departments, nonprofits, and business leaders to develop housing solutions, spur economic growth, and connect residents with resources. My leadership experience spans local, state, and national organizations, giving me the ability to build coalitions, manage complex projects, and deliver measurable results for the community.
My priorities are:
Housing Access & Neighborhood Revitalization – Expand pathways to homeownership, utilize underused and abandoned properties, and incentivize quality development that benefits residents.
Economic Development – Support small businesses, attract new investment, and create opportunities that keep wealth circulating in Toledo.
Community Engagement & Safety – Strengthen collaboration between residents, law enforcement, and community organizations to build trust and improve quality of life.
I will accomplish these by working closely with community stakeholders, leveraging my relationships with city, state, and federal partners, and ensuring transparent, data-driven decision-making. I will prioritize policies that deliver long-term impact while listening to the voices of the people I serve.

My education, previous city council experience and serving as the City of Toledo's Finance Director under Mayor Collins and Mayor Hicks-Hudson uniquely qualifies me to serve another four-year term on Toledo City Council.
I am a Toledo native and a graduate of DeVilbiss High
School where I was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame.
I served three terms on Toledo City Council - At Large from
2002 to 2013.
I returned to Toledo City Council - At Large in 2021 where I
serve as Chair of the Finance Committee of City Council. I
also serve on the Public Safety, Regional Growth and
Zoning and Planning Committees.
Additionally, I have earned the support of working men and
women with 15 union endorsements for the November 2025 election. Business endorsements include Associated General Contractors, NW Ohio Realtors and NECA.
My highest priority is my continued strong support of our police and fire departments. I also want to continue my work on issues like reducing domestic violence, promote economic growth and jobs, and to maintain strong fiscal policies for our city.
As a political independent of 11 years, I worked in bipartisan fashion to get prosecutors added for domestic violence cases, and Toledo Police to add another detective to these cases.
Without safe neighborhoods, there is no economic growth. I made sure that American Rescue Plan dollars were used to improve every neighborhood and that happened. More dilapidated houses were taken down and more needs to be done.
On my watch, our bond ratings were increased by S&P and Moody's --- for the first time in 14 years.
I have experience in public / elected office, the private sector, and with non-profits. I started an Internet company and chaired the United Way. I have a broad range of applicable experience to handle the tasks of this position for optimal service to tax payers.

Constituent services is my top priority. I'll bring back my monthly electronic newsletter, and I'll return ALL calls personally. I will be your direct line to City Hall.
I'll also work to stop the transfer of money away from the Capital Improvement budget so we can fix more streets.
And I'll make neighborhood beautification a priority. I started the District Improvement Grant Program when I served as a district rep, and I will work to increase funding while putting together a 5-year plan so our neighborhoods see planned, sustained growth.
