The School Board has seen a significant erosion of public trust over the past 4–5 years. If SCPS is serious about improving outcomes for students, restoring the Board’s credibility as an effective and transparent oversight body is essential.

In addition, SCPS must prioritize attracting and retaining talented, committed educators. If we struggle to maintain high qualified educators our students' will struggle to reach their highest potential.
I believe my leadership experience distinguishes me. I have served on numerous boards and committees that provide strategic oversight and direction to non-profits and government organizations, such as the Spotsylvania County Department of Social Services. The primary role of the School Board is to develop policies, approved budgets, and provide oversight and this requires a specific skill set that the other candidates lack.
I like the history and character of Spotsylvania and the greater Fredericksburg region. Also, having been engaged with numerous non-profits through my volunteer work over the last decade has connected me with hundreds of citizens working daily to make our community stronger. Even with the challenges our County faces, these relationships have made me proud to be a part of this community.
