I BELIEVE THAT VIRGINIANS ARE RESILIENT. THE FEDERAL WORK FORCE REDUCTION OPENS UP OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE IMPACTED. DESPITE THE UPHEAVAL, SPECIFIC FEDERAL CONTRACT SECTORS (I.E. CYBERSECURITY, IT, DEFENSE AND INFRASTRUCTURE) CONTINUE TO DRIVE DEMAND. THIS ALSO CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES & ENTREPRENEURS IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR. MANY, DUE TO THEIR EXPERIENCE IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, HAVE SKILLS THAT WILL EASILY TRANSFER. AT THE STATE LEVEL WE HAVE THE LEGO GROUP AND WB ALLOY COMING IN AND BRINGING MORE JOBS. AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL THERE IS AMAZON, IBM, JOHNSON & JOHNSON AND MANY OTHERS WHO ARE INVESTING AND EXPANDING. VIRGINIANS WILL ADAPT AND WE WILL BE STRONGER FOR IT.
THE NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE (NPV) LACKS THE CHECKS AND BALANCES OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE. I BELIEVE THERE IS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT IN THE ELECTION PROCESS BUT NPV FALLS WELL SHORT. THE STATES WOULD LOSE THEIR INDEPENDANT VOTES, IGNORING THEIR POPULATIONS. FURTHERMORE, THEY WOULD NO LONGER HAVE ANY SAY, THUS MANIPULATING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. THE NPV PLAN IS STATE LEGISLATION, AND THROUGH THIS, STATES WOULD COMMIT TO IGNORE THEIR OWN VOTERS AND INSTEAD GIVE AWAY THEIR ELECTORAL VOTES, BASED ON THE NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE.

TO SEE SPECIALISTS, AND MANY SCRIPTS ARE SO COSTLY, PEOPLE OPT NOT TO TAKE THEM. WITH HIGHER QUALITY NOURISHMENT (SEE ABOVE) OUR HEALTH COULD IMPROVE, LEADING TO LOWER HEATHCARE COSTS. #3. THE LANGUAGE EMPHASIZES STATE INTEREST, BUT LACKS LANGUAGE WHICH PROMOTES THE COUNSELING A PARENT BRINGS INTO THESE SCENARIOS. ADDITIONALLY, I SUPPORT CONTRACEPTIVES, MORE ROBUST SEX EDUCATION & PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG ADULTS.
FIRST, ARLINGTON COUNTY BOARD SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED TO REDUCE TAX BURDENS, AND BUILDER/CONTRACT COSTS. WHEN BUILDING PERMITS ARE HIGH, THESE COSTS ARE THEN TRANSFERRED TO PROSPECTIVE BUYERS. WE HAVE TO LOOK AT THE ROOT CAUSE, AND IT STARTS WITHT THE COST OF BUYING LAND AND CONSTRUCTING HOMES. ADDITIONALLY, 1 IN 5 COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES ARE CURRENT VACANT, IN ARLINGTON COUNTY. I PROPOSE BEING CREATIVE IN RESTRUCTURING RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES INTO AFFORDABLE (YET NOT A SECTION 8 PROGRAM HOMES) THAT SUSTAIN THE HIGH-QUALITY ATMOSPHERE OF LOCAL NEIGHBORHOODS. LOWER INCOME DOES NOT HAVE TO EQUATE TO LOW QUALITY. I PERSONALLY CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE A HOME IN MY DISTRICT AND HAVE PASSION AROUND THIS SUBJECT.
