experience
Along with decades on the Boad of Supervisors I run a 5th generation farming operation in Jeffersonton alongside my kids, the 6th (while they raise the 7th) on land that has been in our family since the 1800s. I also run a multigenerational seed business and a trucking company.
Continuing to promote, preserve and protect agricultural and historical resources in order to maintain our rural character and quality of life that we all enjoy. This only happens by managing and directing growth using the legal tools available. I will continue to work to maintain an affordable tax rate while supporting our schools, fire and rescue and law enforcement. I'll also work to manage challenges associated with inadequate jail space as well as moving forward with addition and renovation to Culpeper's courthouse.
Experience matters. It is likely that factors that drew your family here are the very things I have fought to preserve for decades. With conservative values, a vast knowledge of state law, county ordinances, the Dillon Rule and the oath of office I will continue to serve those I represent in the Jefferson District. My record reflects my commitment to preventing the "Fairfaxing" of Culpeper County. I have the ability to communicate and work with people on issues no matter their opinion or stance. I have a well-established record of working with state leaders at all levels. As the youngest to ever be elected to the Board, being a public servant is a way of life for me and is a very humbling honor.
The rural nature, quality of life, and the people I have had the pleasure of representing. We have a safe environment to live, work and raise a family. From an economic perspective, Culpeper is unique because we are diversified. We have a strong agricultural and industrial base due to our economic development efforts over the years. This unique balance allows us to have one of the lowest real estate tax rates in the Commonweath, making Culpeper County the envy of the region.
