I’m a real estate professional with experience on the National Association of Realtors Land Use Committee, addressing property rights and responsible growth. I serve on the Republican Central Committee and am a member of the Chamber of Commerce. As a husband and father, I’m committed to keeping Hanover Township safe, affordable, and family-friendly.
I believe I have a responsibility as a father to leave the world better than I found it. My children will inherit the legacy we create in Hanover, and I want that to be a safe, affordable, and thriving community. My background in real estate, land use, and local leadership gives me the skills to manage growth responsibly and preserve what makes our township special, while always putting families first.
My top priority is keeping Hanover a safe, family-friendly, and affordable community. That means planning growth responsibly, protecting property rights, and ensuring township services meet residents’ needs. I will focus on common-sense budgeting—prioritizing essential services, avoiding waste, and seeking cost-effective solutions—so we can strengthen our community while maintaining a balanced budget.
I believe Hanover can achieve more by working with neighboring townships and the county on shared goals like road maintenance, public safety, and responsible development. Serving on the Republican Central Committee, I already collaborate with local leaders and understand regional needs. I’d coordinate on projects, share best practices, and save resources to strengthen our community and protect taxpayers.

Qualifications for Office
24 Years as a Hanover Township Trustee
For the past 24 years, I’ve proudly served as a Hanover Township Trustee, consistently delivering balanced budgets and helping lead transformative community improvements. Under my tenure, Hanover has seen the development of a new fire department, a veterans memorial, a scenic walking path with a gazebo, upgraded public restrooms, and round-the-clock fire and EMS protection. My experience as a former Captain with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office has equipped me with the administrative expertise to manage operations, implement effective policies, and serve our residents with integrity and dedication.
Public safety remains our highest priority in Hanover Township. We’re proud to have two dedicated contract deputies who regularly patrol our neighborhoods and maintain strong relationships with residents. Our Fire and EMS Department operates 24/7 with three on-duty personnel, all within the constraints of the fire levy appropriation—ensuring both fiscal responsibility and reliable emergency response. Additionally, our road and cemetery teams continue to deliver essential services while staying within a carefully monitored and balanced budget.
All townships within Butler County are members of the Butler County Township Association, where they regularly collaborate and share valuable insights on road maintenance programs, grant opportunities, fire and law enforcement services, and legal updates relevant to township governance. Hanover Township borders several other townships and cities, and we remain committed to fostering partnerships and embracing innovative ideas that benefit our community.

Qualifications for Office
Lifelong resident of Hanover Township, Butler County, OH and a career of over 30 years in public service.
My professional career has been dedicated to Public Health, including over 30 years of service at local public health departments. I served for 12 years as the Health Commissioner at the City of Springdale Health Department.
Recently retired from the City of Hamilton, the time is right for me to serve my home community. During my career, I have worked extensively in health, safety, and property code enforcement as a Health Inspector. I continue to hold a professional credential as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) in the State of Ohio. My background gives me a deep understanding of how local government functions and the importance of strong community collaborations and connections.
I will work with Hanover Township Fiscal Officer, Administrator and fellow Trustees to determine what funds are available in order to prioritize damaged, nuisance, and abandoned properties for abatement. This could include identifying grants and/or outside funding opportunities.
I will work to enhance the relationship between Hanover Township and the Butler County Building and Zoning Department which provides investigations and enforcement regarding property maintenance and safety issues to promote more timely resolution of resident's concerns. I will work with the township Administration and fellow Trustees to explore safe and affordable solutions to address excessive motor vehicle speeds in identified residential areas. I support our Hanover Fire Department’s additional 3.5 mil fire Levy.
As Hanover Township is surrounded by seven townships, getting to know and understanding the best practices of the townships bordering Hanover Township will allow for ongoing partnerships and new ideas.

Qualifications for Office
33 year Hanover Township resident. 10 year Hanover Park committee. 10 year Southwest Regional Water Board Trustee. Award winning sales professional for Fortune 500 business. Retired small business owner of Kelly's Bakery.
As a candidate for Hanover Township Trustee, I bring a combination of professional expertise, community commitment, and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our township. As I transition from my professional career as an award winning Industrial Sales Representative and retiring after the sale of my very successful small business, Kelly’s Bakery, I feel strongly I have the skills, ability and time needed to lead the township forward. The outstanding success in my 2 careers reflects the quality of my skills and the execution used to be successful. I have worked with a very diverse group of people and associates, developing quality listening and communication skills.
With community growth, I would like to preserve the characteristics of the township, maintaining a rural environment, while having the City of Hamilton at our fingertips. We will work to improve our Fire and Ems Departments through job training and recruitment. Better training would provide better service to the community, which would provide higher reimbursement through insurance billing. We would continue to work with Butler County Engineers for our large road improvement. We can evaluate sharing snow removal with neighboring townships on perimeter roads.
To provide improved communication in our township, we would benefit from a social media page to provide current events, road closures and community events in a timelier manner.
Ohio gov. struggle with the out cry from their communities over high property taxes, now is the time more than ever for shared resources.
We can apply for regional, state, or federal grants that support multi-township initiatives like infrastructure development. Together we can make applications stronger and improve chances of securing funding. Work with the Butler Co. zoning departments in a positive, proactive manner to ensure zoning codes are clear, accessible, and easy to understood
