I have been in public service since 1992. My senior year of high school I decided to take fire training classes which led me to serving on the Milford Township Fire Dept. for 24 years. I have worked for the Milford Township Maintenance Dept. and have extensive knowledge of the daily operations on how the township operates. I am currently a Board Supervisor for the Butler County Soil & Water Conservation District and just completed my 15th year. During that time I have held the positions of Board Chair, Treasure, and Secretary. This position has given me a tremendous amount of knowledge on balancing budgets, funding and applying for grants. As well as, dealing with the public on sensitive situations and employee management.
My top priority is the overall well being of Milford Township and its residents. The Township is currently faced with a low number of volunteers on the Fire Department that are available to respond. This issue needs to be addressed and a solution needs to be found. Also, Life Squad services provided by adjoining townships, villages and city’s is an issue I feel strongly about and hope to be able to address if I become elected. I feel I can help find solutions all while working within the townships yearly operating budget.
If I were to become elected, I feel like I could be very diplomatic with other surrounding area trustees in finding solutions to common problems. Meeting with other township trustees and brainstorming together, would be a good place to start.

Since becoming a Trustee in September 2022, my priority has been to preserve the rural character of our township. As a lifelong resident, I have a desire to give back to the community that has given me so much. For the past 27 years, I have been employed with the City of Oxford's Streets and Maintenance Department, where I currently serve as the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. I oversee the care of the city's two cemeteries, right-of-way maintenance, and the O.A.T.S. recreational trail.

My experience in public works has provided me with educational opportunities that I bring to my role as Trustee. I believe that open communication is essential in serving our residents, and I am committed to listening and working to preserve our community.
My top priority as Trustee is to ensure that residents receive the highest level of service possible. I am especially focused on maintaining and improving key areas of township operations, including road maintenance, snow and ice control, cemetery care and management, Fire and EMS services, and park maintenance and improvements.

Another important priority for me is expanding access to resources for individuals and families who need them most. I also recognize the financial challenges that come with providing quality services, which is why I would like to pursue additional opportunities such as grant writing to help offset budget constraints and bring more value to our community.
We collaborate with surrounding townships and Butler County to provide efficient and cost-effective services for our residents. Our Fire Department offers mutual aid to strengthen regional emergency response, and we work closely with the County Engineer's Office to share equipment, manpower, and purchase materials through county contracts, that save money for all townships.

I regularly attend Butler County Township Association meetings to stay informed on updates from State and County officials. Building strong partnerships with neighboring townships and County agencies is essential to delivering the best services to our community.
Being a Trustee is something that I have great passion for. I want to be a voice for our community and help lead our citizens. As a 30 year resident of Milford Township, I want to continue working towards keeping a great quality of life for our residents, my family and future generations. I bring many years of experience as a public servant as a U.S. Navy Veteran and a current public high school teacher, all which have taught me great skills in planning, communication and determination.
Our public parks are the heartbeat of our community. My first priority would be making our Milford township public spaces the best that we can offer. I know many families enjoy using the playgrounds and I want our parks to be a clean and safe space for all to enjoy. The second priority is to continue working along with the county and state officials to have safe and well constructed roads and intersections. These goals need to be met with a conservative approach and a balanced budget that can be accomplished in stages by each fiscal year.
Our surrounding areas are important for our emergency response teams. I thank all of our surrounding communities who assist Milford Township EMS in emergency situations. Our relationship with them is critical in keeping our residents safe and I will continue to push for funding for all EMS services in the areas because we are affected by budget shortfalls in other communities, whether we live there or not.
