The Trustee must be attuned to the needs of the Township where I reside. I wish to serve the community to maintain the eclectic mix of urban (city), suburban, and rural ambiance. I have served on multiple Homeowner Associations-- the Township issues are in many ways similar (maintain roads, utilities, respond to resident issues, coordinate with adjacent organizations, manage/oversee security/police force, oversee budget, respond to ordinance requests/developer zoning issues and inquiries.
Maintain the Township infrastructure (culverts, grass, road maintenance) to include a coordinated police presence with other local law enforcement agencies. Limit growth to ensure existing infrastructure is not overloaded and respond to zoning variances as they arise in coordination with County Planning guidelines.
Maintain a continual dialogue with the Oxford City Council--attend all meetings and report back to the Township Board. Routinely interact with the other 12 Townships within Butler County to ensure goals are coordinated and in alignment with County Planning. Attend all utility meetings as all members of the Township (Oxford City as well as surrounding rural/agricultural areas) share the same air and water. Protect the local aquifer and surrounding streams and forested areas.
