The Alpine school district division begins with the November 2025 General Election, where voters will elect all 21 school board seats within their respective school board member districts. Once elected, the new board members will begin serving in December 2025 with three (3) to five (5) year terms. Over the following year, the three new districts will focus on crafting policies, hiring staff, including the superintendent, negotiating with other boards to decide which district gets what resources in the Alpine split and set property tax rates. The transition will culminate at the beginning of the 2027 school year when the newly formed districts, Lake Mountain, Aspen Peaks and Timpanogos districts, will officially start educating students. Lake Mountain School District will have 7 seats and encompass Lindon, Orem, Pleasant Grove and Vineyard. District Seat 2 will serve a three year term.

After meeting with our interim superintendent and several current board members, I’m hopeful—we share a collective vision for building three strong, successful districts. The potential is real, and the intention is there.
To realize that vision, each new school board must actively advocate for their respective communities. It’s essential that services, curriculum, and staffing continue smoothly during this transition, without disruption to students or families.
With open communication and a dedication to good governance, I believe we can make that happen. I’m committed to working hard to ensure our district is student focused, teacher supported and parent responsive.
We have real opportunities to not only preserve programs, but strengthen them. A reboundary study can help balance enrollment and resources, improving student experiences district-wide.
I support a true feeder system that keeps elementary cohorts together through secondary school—simplifying logistics and deepening community bonds.
I also advocate moving 9th grade to high school, unlocking academic and extracurricular opportunities that better prepare students for the future. And every school deserves a distinct identity—ALL, DLI, STEM, Arts, or others—so every child feels proud of where they belong.
Our incredible teachers are one of our district’s greatest strengths. Many leave not from dissatisfaction, but due to life’s transitions—new families, relocations, and early career shifts. What they need most is professional support. If elected, I’ll make that a top priority. Competitive pay, strong benefits, quality development, mentorship, and classroom resources are essential. I’m committed to ensuring our teachers feel valued and empowered to thrive.
One of the greatest strengths of public education is its accessibility: it’s free and open to every child, regardless of background or ability. Every student has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
As a parent of dyslexic children, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of timely support and individualized instruction. I will advocate for the resources teachers need to reach every student—including those who require extra help. That means more tools, more training, and more flexibility in the classroom.
I also believe learning doesn’t stop at the school doors. I will work to strengthen communication between schools and families so parents feel empowered to support positive behavior and academic growth at home.
Schools aren’t mental health providers, but they are responsible for safe, structured classrooms where learning can thrive. Calm, focused environments and clear expectations—at school and at home—are key to student success. While schools can’t shape every outside factor, they can support students meaningfully.
Physical activity, arts, and music are proven to boost mental health and confidence. I’ll prioritize strong discipline policies alongside enrichment programs like music, drama and P.E. that help students feel secure, energized, and ready to learn.
