Shawnee’s future depends on smart, inclusive growth, strong infrastructure, and open, responsive government. We must expand housing options for all income levels by updating zoning and encouraging diverse, attainable housing types near jobs, transit, and amenities. Investing in infrastructure like roads, stormwater systems, and public facilities—while managing our budget responsibly—will ensure long-term stability. Lastly, we need better tools and outreach to engage residents and build trust through transparency, accessibility, and two-way communication.
As a senior project manager in the construction industry, I lead complex, multi-million-dollar projects that require coordination, budgeting, strategic planning, and problem-solving—skills directly applicable to city leadership. I have nearly two decades of experience working with stakeholders, managing public infrastructure, and delivering long-term value. I’ve also held leadership roles in multiple community organizations, giving me deep insight into how to bring people together, listen to concerns, and get things done.
City Council plays a critical role in shaping the future of our community. Councilmembers make decisions that directly impact daily life—from housing, safety, and infrastructure to how tax dollars are spent. They set policy, approve budgets, and guide long-term planning. Because they are closest to the people, they must be responsive, transparent, and focused on the community’s best interests. Strong local leadership ensures that Shawnee remains a safe, vibrant, and inclusive place to live.
