Personal Biography I am a native Kansan, born in Chanute. In Neosho County. An Honorably discharged USAR Specialist 5th Class.
Education I have earned educational degrees from Pitt State, Wichita State and Kansas State
Community/Public Service My profession career in public education includes teaching in Joplin, Mo; Administrative positions in Kingman, Salina, Junction City, Blue Valley in Kansas; Administrative positions in Ladue and Lee’s Summit in Missouri and administrative positions in Ft Madison and Crdar Rapids in Iowa. I had the opportunity to serve on several Chamber Boards and United Way Boards. Further, I served one term in the Kansas House.

Personal Biography Born and Raised in Johnson County Kansas. My wife and I have been married for 29 years and have five children and two grandchildren. Professionally, I own an investment banking firm (Royal Blue Capital) and have ownership interests in a several operating businesses.

1. Enhancing rigor for students in non-advanced courses - in particular, with respect to complexity and volume of reading material assigned and intensity of long form writing and public speaking.

2. Reducing the school district’s addiction to undertaking building expansion projects even when district enrollment is flat to shrinking.

3. Removing all iPads, tablets, and laptops for learning in the classroom.
Began my career as a middle school and high school teacher. Taught writing during law school. Business owner. Advisor to Fortune 1000 companies. Active community member.
