Community/Public Service Incumbent, Olathe School Board
1. Continue to serve with integrity and openness to new ideas. 2. Continue the hard work with tireless determination to advocate for fully funding special education in the state of Kansas. 3. Continue supporting the efforts to help recruit and retain talented educators into this field, where burnout and decline are present concerns.
I am an Olathe graduate, a former Olathe teacher, and a current Olathe parent. My knowledge of the district is extensive & my commitment & dedication is unwavering. As a business owner I am skilled in reading financial statements & HR reports, a necessity of this role. I have studied educational funding for years and am following our state legislature & federal Department of Education with an understanding of how decisions in those settings will affect Olathe. I have forged relationships with many lawmakers and reach out frequently to keep Olathe’s needs present as they introduce and vote on bills.
Support Olathe Public Schools while still posing discerning questions of staff.

Develop and uphold the policies of the BOE.

Be accessible to the community.

Never dismiss lightly the responsibility for allocating our taxpayers hard-earned dollars.
