Important priorities include preserving the character and beauty of Mission Hills, continuing to enhance public safety, and ensuring efficient and transparent government. These are often the first things residents expect, and they remain essential to maintaining our quality of life. At the same time, we must also look outward. Regional issues such as growth, development, and infrastructure decisions can affect us directly, and it is critical that Mission Hills have a strong voice in those conversations. By working collaboratively with neighboring communities while remaining protective of our city’s unique character and values, we can help ensure that Mission Hills continues to thrive well into the future.
My professional experience as an attorney has focused on regulatory, compliance, and government matters, where I work with complex issues, bring people together to solve problems, and ensure accountability and transparency. I have also served as a federal enforcement attorney, a chief compliance officer in the financial industry, and now as a founding partner of a law firm. Alongside this, I bring more than 18 years of civic involvement in Mission Hills, including service on the City Council, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Crime Prevention and Safety Committee. This combination of professional expertise and community leadership provides a strong foundation for serving as mayor.
One of the greatest challenges facing Mission Hills over the next decade is the impact of decisions made outside our borders. Regional growth, development, traffic, and infrastructure projects can all create pressures on our community, and state legislative decisions may also affect how we govern locally. While Mission Hills values its quiet character and residential nature, we cannot ignore these broader forces. The task ahead is to remain protective of what makes our city unique while ensuring we have a strong voice in both regional and state discussions, so that outside decisions do not compromise the quality of life within our city.
