Community/Public Service
City of Fairway, KS - City Council - 2018 to Present / Kansas City Corporate Challenge - Vice President / Missouri University of Science & Technology Alumni Association - President / Missouri University of Science & Technology - Board of Trustees
Continue to move forward with planned and budgeted capital projects (Stormwater, Police Station, Parks Expansion & Updates, Road & Street Maintenance, Rock Creek Flood Plain Alternative)
As an Engineer with over 20 years of experience, I have been intimately involved in numerous projects which are similar to the challenging projects facing the city of Fairway and Northeast Johnson County as a whole. I would continue to use this expertise to assist the city in moving these projects forward while being cognizant of spending residents tax dollars.
The result of local government is largely what residents interact with on a day to day basis; trash services, parks, roads, utilities, etc. The City of Fairway specifically runs a zero based budget, analyzing and budgeting every line item each and every year. The ideally broad background of a City Council allows for all viewpoints and expertise to contribute to the overall goal.
