I have been involved in local government work for years. I currently sit on the Weber County RAMP Board of Directors and the Weber Housing Authority Board of Directors. I sat on the North Ogden Public Safety Building committee. I have attended almost every North Ogden City Council meeting over the last seven years. I am regularly involved in discussions in council meeting and feel that I have an ability to make sound, timely decisions. I want to be involved at the earliest possible time with the city, particularly as they discuss taxing and spending issues.
50 to 100 million dollars in necessary road repairs. Maintaining competitive compensation packages for city employees. Managing economic development to maximize potential sales tax revenue. I will work with the rest of the council to prioritize these issues and maintain focus on these issues. I think it’s important to remain focused on our most critical issues and resist mission creep. I’ve seen councils get distracted by issues that really can be solved by staff and spend valuable time away from the most important issues. I believe that the city has worked to hire professionals and as a city council member I will stay out of their way and let them do their job and then support them as best we can from the council.
I spent 15 years working with a number of city councils around Weber County as a Precinct Commander with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office. I spent 15 years as a Board member with the GOAL Foundation, best known for organizing the Ogden Marathon, with 2 years as the Board Chair. I currently sit on the Weber Housing Authority Board of Directors and the Weber County RAMP Board of Directors; the Weber County Boards are County Commission Appointments and I’m currently the RAMP Board Chair. I have led people and been part of managing millions of tax dollars for years.
North Ogden Public Works has indicated that they can only accomplish around 3 million dollars of work on the roads per year. So, I would work to identify the funding to accomplish that. Funding comes from several sources such as local taxes, sales taxes, state road funds and some federal funds depending on the projects. I DO NOT support the proposed Transportation Utility Fee. I have heard it discussed that the Transportation Utility Fee is easier to increase due to relaxed public notice standards. While tax increases may be necessary, I believe we should make every effort to involve the public in the process.
North Ogden works with the Weber County's Elections office to ensure the security of our elections. I would continue that relationship. North Ogden already does a good job of representing our residents during our elections.
I’ve been proud to raise my family here, and this community has given us so much over the years. Now, I feel it’s my time to give back. I’m running for city council because I want to make sure our neighborhoods remain safe, welcoming, and full of opportunity for every family. I believe in listening to our residents, working together to solve problems, and making decisions that keep our city strong—not just for today, but for the future. I’m motivated by the belief that city council decisions—about roads, parks, safety, and local businesses—directly impact our quality of life, and I want to make sure those decisions reflect what our residents truly need.
Roads and infrastructure, public safety, and supporting small business. Building a Stronger North Ogden Together I’m focused on practical solutions that improve everyday life—investing in safe roads, supporting our first responders, and helping local businesses grow so our community thrives.
I’m proud to be a lifelong resident of North Ogden, where I’ve raised my family and built strong roots. I love this community, and that connection motivates me to serve.

As President of the Weber Fraternal Order of Police Associate Lodge, I’ve learned the value of listening, fair policy-making, and respectful discipline—insights that deepen my commitment to public safety.

Running my own business has given me hands-on experience managing budgets, meeting deadlines, and balancing priorities responsibly.

Together, these experiences equip me to serve on city council with dedication, leadership, and a heart for North Ogden’s future.
I know how frustrating it is to deal with potholes and rough patches on our streets—it affects our daily drives and even vehicle safety.

I’ll work closely with city staff to prioritize the areas that need the most attention and make sure our budget is spent wisely. I also want to pursue every possible grant or outside funding to help ease the cost for our community.

Most importantly, I’ll keep you in the loop—sharing updates on repair schedules and listening to your concerns so we can tackle the problem together. Good roads mean a safer, smoother ride for everyone in North Ogden.
I’m committed to making our elections transparent and accessible, so everyone knows how and when to vote. I’ll work to engage all parts of our community—especially those often overlooked—to encourage participation. I’ll also support keeping elections nonpartisan and fair, giving every candidate an equal chance and every voter a clear voice.

I’m running for re-election to the North Ogden City Council because I care deeply about the direction which North Ogden is heading as a community. I’m motivated by making wise decisions that will positively affect North Ogden for many years. I hope to keep North Ogden a place where my children will want to live in the future. North Ogden has a solid general plan and zoning regulations which should be followed closely over the coming years to ensure the community becomes what it has been envisioned to become. North Ogden is projected to almost double in population in the next several decades and I’m motivated by making wise decisions that will have a lasting impact on the area.
Infrastructure: Our roads team recently did a survey of all North Ogden City roads and made recommendations for which roads within city limits need to be fully replaced or maintained by crack seal and other methods to extend useful life. The price of asphalt and labor has close to tripled in cost over the last few years, this presents a great financial challenge, without addressing the roads issue sooner than later the North Ogden will fall behind in the quality of its roads. I’m committed to following through with recommended road enhancements over the next several years. Economic Development: I’ll continue to support bringing in businesses to North Ogden City which will offset our dependence on Property Tax Revenues. Growth: Residents are concerned about development on the hillside of North Ogden City. I grew up biking and hiking in the hills of North Ogden, we must keep as much beautiful open space as possible while maintaining landowners right to sell their property as needed.
I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the North Ogden City Council for the last 3.5 years. I believe I was able successfully and quickly ramp into my responsibilities as a City Councillor because I consistently attended various city meetings ahead of being elected and had an idea what I was getting myself signed up for. I’m a Program Manager for the Department of Defense at Hill Air Force Base, I help make daily decisions which impact cost and schedule parameters with an eye to always saving taxpayer money. I also serve as a Risk Manager at work which gives me great experience in looking for potential issues and ways to mitigate them. I’ve served as a people manager in my career which has helped me with skills used to help North Ogden.
North Ogden’s roads team has recently presented a number of over $100 million in needed road repairs over the next couple of decades. The price of asphalt and labor has almost tripled since 2020, this creates a big challenge that we need to address. The practical way to address this is to knock out projects year by year in reasonably sized projects. Continued increases in sales tax revenues brought through new commercial businesses coming to North Ogden City will help close the revenue gap but not fully. The City Council is currently exploring a Transportation Utility Fee, the advantage of this revenue source is the ability to waive these specific fees to residents on a fixed income and dedication of funds for the sole purpose of streets.
I feel that North Ogden’s election is as fair as possible to represent the diverse types of people within our city. North Ogden’s local elected officials are non-partisan. I’ve shown a track record over the last few years of working with people across the city from different backgrounds regardless of political affiliation. I hope residents have seen over the past few years in my service on the City Council that I always try to represent the needs and concerns of our residents.
I am running because I know the struggles people are going through. As a postal carrier I have talked with a lot of North Ogden residents and I have heard both the bad and the good. I am able to connect with our beautiful residents. With this connection I hope to bring their voices to the table.

What motivates me? My daughter, wife and every single resident of North Ogden. Driving around the neighborhoods 5 days a week seeing the road conditions. Hearing the stories.
Infrastructure. We have about 10 years to come up with 100 million to fix our roads. Roads are rapidly approaching their end of life dates. I suggest we increase business growth to increase revenue so the citizens don’t have most of the of the burden. Business Development North Ogden is not a pass through city, so it has challenges in attracting businesses. I propose we put together incentive packages, run advertising targeting specific companies we want in our city. I am a huge advocate for entrepreneurs. It’s already stressful to make that leap for your entire family and open a business. So I want you to feel like the city is here for you. I have a decade in business acquisition for Admiral beverage. Communication I think communication is a big deal, I know there are cities that use mobile apps. I would like North Ogden to use one. Examples: The city could send out any news they want, with a notification from your phone. Report potholes, outages. Utah has Grants to help pay.
I bring hands on experience from working directly with the people of North Ogden every day as a postal carrier. I hear about their concerns, their frustrations, and their hopes for this city, and it’s given me a unique connection to the community I want to serve. I also have leadership experience in the private sector, where I learned how to work with teams, solve problems, and handle challenges head-on. On top of that, I’m active in my union, which has shown me the power of standing up for people and working together for positive change. I’m a regular working class resident stepping up because I want to make a deference for my community and my family. I believe experience matters, but so does heart, and I bring both to the table.
Attracting more businesses is a key part of the solution. More retail, restaurants, and commercial development means more tax revenue for the city, which can help fund infrastructure and reduce the burden on residence. But it’s only part of the plan. We need a balance approach that includes smart growth, grant funding, and careful long-term planning.
I want this election to be fair, transparent, and representative of the whole city not just a small group or one political side. That means being out in the community, listening to everyone promoting voter access, and making sure this race stays about North Ogden‘s future not politics as usual.
