I have been a resident in the district for 14 years. I have two kids currently in the school system. I have volunteered at various school activities. I was a 2023 Capital Projects Commitee representative for Charlton Heights Elementary.
BHBL has been a wonderful school for our kids and I want to do my part to continue the BHBL reputation. Serving on the Board of Education is an important commitment and if elected I will adjust my schedule as appropriate to balance family time, work time, and time required for the BoE.
A year ago the Teacher's Assocation reached a contract agreement with the district. There is concern that salaries are not keeping up with inflation putting our teachers at a disadvantage. Negotiations are expected to start again this fall/winter and it is important to ensure our teachers/staff are appropriately compensated.

Each of those constituencies are important. Ideally they should all equally benefit however, there may be instances where one constituency has higher priority.
