Your Experience/Qualifications
Current Produce Clerk at Fred Meyer, former Attendance Advocate for Central Curry School District, Board Member with LCYSA
I am first and foremost a father of a loving and energetic third grader. I coach his soccer teams and work as a volunteer coach for other LCYSA programs. In the past, I have worked as an Attendance Advocate to help students attend school and succeed at school. I am a working Father who works a job where I provide for my family. I am running to help provide the best education possible for my son and for all of our students. I also believe we need to support our teachers, unify our district, and work together with communication and kindness.
We need to follow state law and model best practices for the other School Boards in our state. I hope to be an innovative and dynamic leader, but we must make sure we are guided by the law and best practices.
We have some changes coming, and we need to make sure we hire a superintendent who will listen to and collaborate with our teachers, think outside the box and look for creative solutions, unify our people, and work to be as transparent as possible.

I can bring a unique blend of personal experience, advocacy, and community insight to the school board. As a mother of two who’s had to fight for my son after he experienced racial bullying, I’ve seen how families can be overlooked and dismissed. That experience drove me to learn how the system works and how to hold it accountable. I bring the perspective of a parent who has been in the trenches—someone who sees the system not from the top down, but from the ground up. I care deeply about every student, every teacher, and every family in our community. I’m running for the school board to help create a system where all kids feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.
My understanding is that the district has a legal and ethical obligation to fully comply with both federal and state education policies, not just on paper, but in practice.
The most urgent issues facing our district are the lack of support for special education, the failure to retain and properly support teachers, and the growing behavioral and mental health challenges in our classrooms. These aren’t just isolated problems—they’re deeply connected, and they affect the success of every student and teacher in our schools. To address them, I would push for a budget that truly reflects our priorities—one that invests in more trained special education staff, classroom aides, and behavioral specialists. I would advocate for stronger teacher support systems, including better training, mentorship, and safer learning environments so teachers can focus on teaching, not just managing chaos.
