I was a teacher in the Reynolds School District for 25 years. I understand the supports that the teachers and students need.
Reynolds School District always looks to the Oregon Department of Education for guidance in complying with legal issues.I know the the Reynolds School District has a strong conviction that every student in the District deserves to be safe and have a quality education. I am glad that Oregon provides so many safeguards for our students.
I need to make sure that the budget focuses on the needs of the students. The district always need more money. I have to balance the need for clean, functioning buildings, transportation, and nutrition needs with strong academic support.
