The basic duties are straightforward: as a North Ridgeville City Council member, I will vote on legislation, propose and review laws, serve on committees, and attend bi-monthly meetings. However, the true responsibilities extend far beyond the council chambers and into the community. A dedicated City Council member actively listens to residents' concerns, promptly returning phone calls and emails. They treat residents with respect, valuing their time, experiences, and concerns. I am excited to take on these responsibilities and am committed to working with the people of North Ridgeville with honesty and integrity. Anything less simply isn't acceptable.
I bring a unique perspective to the city council, grounded in my 43 years as a resident of North Ridgeville. Having worked for 31 years in a union job, raised two children with my husband, and now helping care for two grandchildren, I deeply understand the challenges families face. My life experiences have shaped me into a strong listener and resourceful negotiator—skills I honed as a middle child, recognizing that every situation has multiple viewpoints. As an artist, I approach problems from diverse angles, valuing creative solutions. I believe a healthy city council thrives on diversity, bringing different perspectives to find the best solutions for our community.
If elected, my top three priorities will be accessibility, accountability, and empathy. I will ensure that residents can easily connect with me their elected official, as problems don’t follow business hours. Transparency is key to accountability, and I will make sure that time and resources are used wisely for the benefit of the entire community. Above all, I will foster an environment of respect and acceptance for everyone, regardless of race, creed, gender identity, or party affiliation. My commitment begins on day one. I truly hope others join me. The citizens of North Ridgeville deserve a city government that conducts itself with honestly and integrity.

City council is responsible for adopting resolutions and ordinances that provide direction to the Mayor and the Mayor’s Administration on the day-to-day operations of the city.
I have spent time communicating with the people and employees of this city, and I am very familiar with their concerns. I am already someone that people reach out to for help. I have spent time researching the city charter and ordinances and have attended many council meetings as well as other city meetings. I have learned what is affecting the members of this community because I listen to them. I know what they are excited about and what they are worried about. I have proven that I am willing to communicate and help find answers and solutions, all while others have been silent.
My first priorities are transparency and accountability. This will be immediate. I will implement clear and reliable communication with the community. My third priority is responsible growth. I will encourage simple and creative solutions to help ease the burdens that have come from decades of putting developers over the people of our city. From zoning changes to parcel sizes and impact fees for developers, we have many unexplored opportunities. I understand Rome wasn't build in a day and it will be a fight with the status qou, but I will be the loudest voice in the room from the beginning.
