The voters of Lorain City should vote for me if they want an honest, hardworking, lifelong resident fighting for their concerns and addressing them without any agenda other than making our city better. I have been and will continue to be a community advocate and experienced leader that has demonstrated commitment to public service. I currently serve as Councilman at Large for the City of Lorain. My experience includes but not limited to the following:  Multiple terms serving on the Lorain City Council as an at-large member  Previous service on the Lorain City School Board for 3 terms (12 Years)  Experience working with various city and county departments and community organizations  Involvement in city budget discussions and financial
I will work hard to represent our residents by focusing on the following priorities: 1. Public Safety: Advocating and supporting Lorain City’s safety forces to ensure a safer community by enabling them with the resources necessary to keep our residents safe. 2. Economic Development: Driving initiatives to attract businesses, create jobs, and retain our current businesses. We need to stop leading with a deficit mindset and start making decisions that will promote real progress. 3. Infrastructure: Prioritizing the development and maintenance of essential infrastructure. We need to put our streets and roadways back on the priority list by taking a hard look at the budget and making sure we allocate dollars to replace and repair our roads. Here

Responsibilities include attending meetings where one represents one's constituents and making decisions on the policies, procedures and provisions of local services.
I bring the ability to think critically about issues. This includes the ability to see the big picture: what are the consequences of decisions made by a municipality, and how do decisions affect the lives of those we serve. I believe that elected officials must serve with integrity those who trust them enough to allow them the privilege of making decisions for them. I have served the community through many non-profits and understand the joys, concerns and frustration of our community.
Top priority will be to make sure our budget is balanced. Each year, our council combs through the budget to confirm that we will be able to meet financial obligations. Another top priority will be to maintain our safety service levels. Our compensation to our first responders must insure that we can maintain services for our citizens. A top priority will be to insure that programs for youth are made available. Producing wholesome, engaged young people is a must.

I have negotiated many union contracts. I know how to connect with people.
I don’t have a timeline for addressing these issues. But addressing the city’s budget and a possible future deficit is the most important issue that needs addressed. Also I am set on fixing the city’s roads and bringing in businesses that provide better paying jobs for our citizens.
