Biographical Information

If elected, what goal would you like to accomplish during this term?

Occupation I'm a multidisciplinary visual artist with over 20 years of experience, specializing in pyrochromatic arts (painting with fire). My career encompasses creating original artwork, teaching art classes, curating exhibitions, completing community murals, and leading arts initiatives. I am one of the original artistic inaugurators of Canton's First Friday events. I've co-founded the Massillon Community Arts Council, and have extensive experience in community arts leadership.
Age 50
Education Attended Kent State University, Pittsburgh Art Institute
Qualifications for this office As a Ward 1 resident, I experience our community's challenges firsthand. My creative-based community work has taught me how to foster transformation from within. I bring knowledge of our infrastructure needs and safety concerns. Unlike candidates with leveraged influences, I remain independent and accountable only to residents. I offer genuine leadership with practical experience and a solutions-oriented mindset focused on accessibility and community-driven priorities.
If elected, my main goal would be to bring responsive, accessible leadership to Ward 1 after years of neglect. As a neighbor experiencing the same challenges like deteriorating infrastructure, school traffic safety issues, rising costs, and problem properties, I'll establish genuine accessibility through local meetings and neighborhood walk-throughs. I'll implement public tracking of promises, prioritize practical safety solutions, and ensure infrastructure decisions address actual resident needs, not just during campaign season but through continuous commitment.
Candidate is uncontested for this primary race so no questions were posed.
Occupation I am the Coordinator of Operations and Services at Plain Local Schools, and in my 36th year.
Age 56
Education I am a proud graduate of Canton City Schools. I was raised, and have lived my whole life in the City of Canton. I also attended Stark State College for a couple of years (part-time) pursuing a Network Engineering degree.
Qualifications for this office I'm not sure about qualifications per se, but my plan is honor Greg Hawk's legacy by continuing to work on projects that were near and dear to his heart, which also aligns with my vision.

Among the important tasks on my list are continuing the street and alley paving projects, continue working to clean up our neighborhoods, increasing housing stock due to our shortage, and increasing our safety numbers.
