I was born and grew up in Brookline. Maimonides School, Baker School (1980), BHS (1984). I have three sons. My oldest is BHS 2020, my youngest is at BHS in the RISE program.

I live in the house directly next to the senior center which I built.
Unity -- our town has been riled by strife for too long. It is time to come together to address difficult budgetary and development issues.

I've lived in Brookline for over 40 years. My children attended the Driscoll School and graduated from Brookline High. I served as the principal of the Runkle School for one year; assistant head of BHS for three years; and head of BHS for 19 years. I've served Precinct 9 as a Town Meeting Member for six years and as their representative on Town Meeting Member Association. I am on the Board of Brookline PAX. I am the Chair of the National Calculus Project Board. I love public service.
1) The Town and the Public Schools need more revenue, all of which impacts families in P9. I have worked hard on overrides and I co-authored the Voluntary Wealth tax which overwhelmingly passed Town Meeting. 2) Brookline and P9 need more housing and more affordable housing. I have fought for reasonable housing development in P9 and successfully fought for housing that fits our community. 3) I am running for School Committee because of the following concerns about our public schools: fiscal mismanagement, a revolving door of leadership at our schools and in the central office, and what I perceive as a loss of an academic center of gravity. These major issues are about all of Brookline and all about P9.

I’m a longtime activist for workers’ rights and peace, having stood with unions and supported anti-war efforts for years. I work as a data manager for an IT service consulting firm, using quantitative analysis to inform executive-level decision making. I hold a Master’s in Mathematics and Statistics from Boston University and have served two years in Town Meeting representing Precinct 17. I’ve cast votes I’m proud of—supporting the MBTA Communities plan, rental assistance, and tax relief for veterans. My priorities are maintaining Brookline’s AAA bond rating with responsible budgeting and strong reserves, while expanding services to help struggling residents and investing in education. 1) Fight for Affordable Housing We face a housing crisis. I’ll fight to fund and expand our Affordable Housing Trust Fund and support responsible development near transit to meet our Housing Production Plan goals.

2) Strengthen Commercial Districts Brookline should be a great place to do business. I’m working on streamlining business licensing and launching initiatives to attract new businesses.

3) Responsibly Fund Our Schools Our schools need strong financial oversight. I’ll prioritize transparency and fiscal responsibility to address our structural deficit while ensuring every child has the tools to succeed.
