The Department of Education is the backbone of our society. I have spent most of my life in a school, I am the child of two public school educators. Public education gives all children the opportunity to learn and grow. For children with disabilities, public education is paramount.
I whole heartedly support voting rights legislation, providing national standards puts everyone on the same ground and grants them the same access. Our vote is our voice and this election is one of the only chances of electoral recourse until the 2026 midterms.
I support legislation that is evidence based and backed by science. Legislation that holds corporations accountable for the pollution they create is needed now. In Florida, we must support legislation that protects the people, wildlife and nature of this beautiful state.
I fully support a federal law that codifies abortion and contraception access. Women deserve to make these decisions about their own bodies without having to check with their lawmaker. Women are dying because doctors are scared to provide medical care. Access to abortion and contraception are the proven to protect women.
Reducing the national debt sets the next generation up for success. To reduce the debt, we must tax the wealth of the billionaires like Elon Musk, this would give us the ability to pay down our debt and take care of the immediate needs of our people. The Billionaires will always have more money than they need. That is not the case for average people.
