Having grown up on the Iron Range and lived in our beautiful community for 7 years, I have seen firsthand the potential and opportunities that lie ahead for Mountain Iron. I am passionate about making our city and surrounding area an even better place to live, work, and raise our families. I believe in the power of community and the importance of working together to achieve our goals. With your support, I am confident we can create a brighter future for Mountain Iron.
Community Growth: We are positioned very well to grow. Growing neighborhoods help lower the tax burden for all. Economic Development: Working in Community and Economic Development, I know first hand the importance of supporting small businesses and attracting new investments to create jobs and boost our local economy. Transparency and Accountability: If we want to be successful in the above areas, open communication and making sure your voices are heard in the decision-making process is vital.
I plan to hold several listening sessions to ensure I am representing all citizens and will provide my phone and email to keep the lines of communications open. I also created a survey to get a feel for why we all love living in our community and understand what the council's priorities should be next year.
More information needs to be shared during council meetings and online. I will also get council reports added to meeting agendas so you can be updated on any committee work and other happenings throughout the city.
