The two most important challenges facing Florida are access to healthcare and affordable housing.

I will champion Medicaid expansion, advocate for increased funding for graduate medical education programs to address the physician shortage, and support legislation that ensures fair reimbursement rates for telemedicine to enhance healthcare accessibility. I will advocate for increased funding for the Sadowski Housing Trust Fund, streamline zoning and permitting processes to reduce construction costs, and promote public-private partnerships to expedite the development of affordable housing units. I will also fight for increased homeownership grant opportunities and rental assistance programs.
To address Florida's affordable housing crisis, I support increasing state funding for programs like the Sadowski Housing Trust Fund. I advocate for incentivizing affordable housing development through tax credits and grants for developers. Streamlining zoning regulations and permitting processes can reduce construction costs and expedite the development of affordable units. Expanding public-private partnerships and promoting innovative construction technologies will further enhance housing affordability and availability for Florida families.
Improving voter access and participation is crucial for a healthy democracy. Key legislative actions are essential: Expanding early voting by increasing days and locations gives more people convenient opportunities to vote. Simplifying the vote-by-mail process ensures everyone can participate, especially those unable to reach polling stations, by streamlining ballot requests and returns. Implementing same-day registration allows voters to register or update information on election day. Automatic voter registration through state agencies boosts voter rolls. Finally, enhancing election security.
Protecting Florida’s environment and natural resources is essential for the state's health and future prosperity. Key legislative actions include increasing funding for conservation to preserve wetlands, forests, and coastal areas, protecting habitats and attracting visitors. Strengthening water quality regulations ensures clean water for all by reducing pollution in our water. Promoting renewable energy through incentives for solar and wind projects and enhancing climate resilience through infrastructure and community planning safeguards against rising sea levels and extreme weather.
I believe that access to safe and legal abortion is a fundamental right and a critical component of women's healthcare. Women should have the autonomy to make decisions about their own bodies without government interference. I support expanding access to abortion services, including ensuring availability of clinics, protecting patients and providers from harassment, and covering abortion services through health insurance. Comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including access to abortion, is essential for the well-being and equality of all women.
I advocate for universal background checks for all gun sales, including private and online transactions, and implementing red flag laws. This will help prevent firearms from falling into the wrong hands and is crucial for keeping guns away from individuals with a history of violence, mental illness and those deemed a threat to prevent potential tragedies. Mandating secure storage of firearms helps prevent accidental shootings and unauthorized access, particularly by children. Banning the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines limits access to firearms designed for mass casualties.
I will advocate for increased funding for public schools and I will work to raise teacher salaries to attract and retain talented educators. Early childhood education is another cornerstone of my plan. Expanding access to high-quality Head Start and pre-K programs ensures every child has a strong foundation for learning before entering elementary school. I will prioritize ensuring that all students, regardless of their background or location, have access to reliable internet connectivity and digital devices. I am committed to improving the curriculum to be inclusive, diverse, and relevant.

The top issue we face as a state is our property insurance crisis, followed closely by the current HOA issues facing our condo owners.

Anyone who tells you they alone know how to fix our insurance issues is not being honest with the voters. We need to come together as a state with the issuance companies and find a way to bring their business back and create competition, which should drive down costs.

With the crushing HOA laws, we need to quickly look at repealing and rewriting the current law to ensure that it is written in a way that will not crush our residents and leave thousands of elderly residents on the streets.
First and foremost, we must continue to protect and codify the Sadowski fund to ensure that money allocated for affordable housing actually goes to affordable housing.

Along with the measures that we can take at the state level, we still have a $200 million housing bond that has not been dispersed yet. I would work with our local leaders to push through projects that can be covered through this fund.
Overall, our current election system in the state of Florida works pretty well and does a good job of allowing all eligible voters to vote.
The most significant environmental issue in Florida is protecting our water. In recent years, record spending has been allocated to protecting our land and waterways. I would fully support expanding those programs to ensure that our water is protected for future generations.
I am pro-life, but I believe that the question of what to do about abortion is right where it should be. On the ballot!

Every voter will have the opportunity to voice their opinion on the issue and set the policy for our state going forward, which is how things should work in our republic.
We must continue to ensure that every school has the resources it needs to adequately harden its campuses. We must work at every level of government to accomplish this goal and keep our kids safe.

We must also ensure that our law enforcement has all the resources they need to remove any illegally obtained weapons from the streets.
I believe in school choice, public school being one of those choices. Every family should have the ability to choose what school is the best fit for their family. We must also ensure that we continue to raise the standard of education in public schools by ensuring we have the best curriculum possible and training the best teachers in the country.

Also, to keep those teachers, we must raise teacher salaries to ensure that they all receive a livable wage. As a teacher, I can tell you how hard it is to choose between buying the supplies your kids need or putting food on the table.
