Occupation Staff Attorney - Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas (12/2023 – Present)
I am qualified to serve as Ashtabula County Prosecutor because of my background in handling cases from all sides of the law. In private practice I handled both criminal and civil matters. As an Ashtabula County Assistant Prosecutor, I served alongside law enforcement and handled numerous cases, while being the advocate for countless victims. Most recently, I served as a Magistrate in the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas. I presided over the following matters assigned to Judge David Schroeder’s courtroom: felony arraignments and bond hearings, civil protection orders, and non-jury civil matters, including township zoning issues. I have heard and ruled on thousands of cases and wrote many orders and decisions.
I am the wife of a law enforcement officer, a mother, and a lawyer. The Prosecutor has the responsibility for advising several of the county agencies, and if the prosecutor chooses, actively participating in countless legal matters for the agencies and citizens of our county. The importance of this position cannot be understated, and this position deserves someone with integrity, dedication, and commitment to Ashtabula County. Ashtabula County is my home. I was born here, raised here, and now my husband and I are raising our children here. The decisions I make on a daily basis affect the people I love and care about, and the communities that I’m involved in. I’m committed to making Ashtabula County better because I’m invested here.
