I do support same day registration. Proper ID and residence status should be brough with the resident. Town clerks and staff are already overburdened with mail in ballots and early voting, so proper staffing should be considered to handle same day registration.
Alot of efforts have taken place and we need to build on that. reduce carbon emissions, more grant funding for EV. Alternative sources of energy.
This has been a hot topic during my campaign. Everyone acknowledges the housing issue, but many are hesitant to want more housing in their communities because of the impact it would have on schools, public safety and other services. More senior housing (55+) options may free up current housing stock.
I think the efforts of a path to citizenship is important. Immigrants should be given a timeline to become citizens, seek employment and housing. I feel this will alleviate a large part of this issue.
My main concerns are roads, bridges and sidewalks. We need a lot of infrastructure improvements, making small cities and towns more walkable.
