Do you support election day voter registration? Why or why not?

What actions should the legislature take to address the climate emergency?

What should the legislature do to increase the supply of affordable and middle-market housing in Massachusetts?

What measures would you support to deal with the needs of the large number of immigrants coming to Massachusetts?

What are your priorities for dealing with transportation statewide and in your district?

Yes. There should be no bars for anyone who is eligible to vote. I would support requiring identification if you are not yet registered to ensure the integrity of the process, but once you’ve registered on voting day, you remain registered going forward.
We have a very good bill pending in the Massachusetts State House today that addresses many climate issues. The biggest flaw in current and pending legislation is allowing expansion of gas infrastructure—we should be reducing that infrastructure. I would vote for the amendment to end expansion.
We need to support the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s plan to build more housing near transit hubs, adjusting zoning ordinances, and actively preserving our housing stock. I also support allowing Accessory Dwelling Units by right.
With the rising number of immigrants and refugees coming to our state, I believe we should consider the benefits of having more diversity. Massachusetts has a history of helping immigrants integrate smoothly and feel welcome here. Then we need a comprehensive program that includes language education, job training and cultural orientation. Ensuring access to healthcare and education is essential, along with providing legal assistance to navigate the immigration system. I see this as an opportunity to improve our economy by offering opportunities through small business grants and job placement services.
The transportation issues in my district and across the Commonwealth are similar. I want to see our public transportation more accessible to the people. We must continue to expand and modernize public transit to be more green, clean, and safe. In my district and across the state, we also need to invest in sustainable structures like bike lanes and pedestrian pathways to give more opportunities for people to travel safely without a car.
