I write a biweekly article for our local paper the Windham Eagle. I attend local events where I can celebrate student or constituent accomplishments. I try to respond to emails that are clearly from my constituents.
Just wrote an article (Windham Eagle, June7, 2024) about the many actions the legislature has taken to increase access to affordable housing. We need to build on these efforts in the next legislature.
I have lived in windham for 45 years. My children went to school here. We have been active in our church, scouting and farming(as an avocation). I practiced primary care internal medicine from 1976-2012 in both private practice and hospital based practice including teaching medical residents in the Internal Medicine Residency Program. I was the Director of outpatient clinics at Maine Medical Center from 2000-2012. I believe that practicing medicine teaches us to listen and diagnose and solve problems. It teaches us to care for everyone whomever they are . I served in the Legislature from 2012-2014 and am serving again since 2023. I have enjoyed working with fellow legislators with diverse backgrounds to try to improve our communities.
